AEW WrestleDream took place on October 17, 2026, at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida, with Will Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship in the first Clockwork Carnage match.
The event also featured new AEW World Trios Champions, the arrival of Ilja Dragunov and an emotional championship defence from Jon Moxley.
Megan Bayne and Lena Kross picked up the win over Julia Hart and Skye Blue in the opening action.
Divine Dominion put Hart away with a double chokeslam, with Bayne and Kross securing the pin.
Winners: Divine Dominion
Wardlow delivered a dominant performance alongside Josh Alexander and Jake Doyle.
He powerbombed all three opponents as his team defeated Alex Breeze, Papi D and Rhys Maddox.
Winners: Wardlow, Josh Alexander and Jake Doyle
Jay White returned to action alongside Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle OâReilly against Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd, Daniel Garcia, David Finlay and Clark Connors.
White had been sidelined since suffering an injury during last monthâs All Out Tailgate Brawl. He had initially been expected to miss between one and two months.
Yuta secured the victory for his side by pinning Colten Gunn following a frog splash assisted by Castagnoli.
The fight continued after the bell, with both teams getting involved in a brawl. Marina Shafir joined the action for the Death Riders, only for Willow Nightingale to take her down with a clothesline.
Winners: Death Riders and The Dogs
Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley took the first victory in their best-of-five series against Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
The match began during the Tailgate Brawl before continuing into the opening of the pay-per-view. FTR spent lengthy stretches isolating Shelley, while Stokely Hathaway occupied the referee from ringside.
Wheeler suffered a painful setback when a missed double axe handle sent him face first into the announce table. Shelley threatened with a roll-up and a frog splash, while Sabin came close with a springboard DDT and a cutter.
The Machine Guns prevented FTR from connecting with the Shatter Machine. Harwood later escaped a pin from Sabin thanks to his boot being on the ropes, while Sabin survived a spike piledriver.
After approximately 25 minutes, Sabin pinned Wheeler following a combination of kicks from both Machine Guns.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns, who lead the series 1-0
Thekla wasted little time targeting Mercedes MonĂ©âs broken nose, forcing the champion to fight through a sustained attack.
Running kicks, a spider suplex and a spear from the top rope helped Thekla build momentum, with the spear earning a near fall.
Moné responded with a lungblower, a meteora and the flying surfboard. A meteora from the middle rope also brought her close to retaining.
Thekla then caught Moné in a submission near the ropes. Despite having her eyes covered, Moné managed to locate the bottom rope and force a break.
The champion eventually removed her protective face mask and struck Thekla with it before delivering the Moneymaker for the pin.
This marked MonĂ©âs second successful defence since capturing the championship at All In London in August.
Winner and still AEW Womenâs World Champion: Mercedes MonĂ©
Nick Wayne emerged victorious in the deciding match of his series with Chris Jericho.
Jericho suffered a cut above his right eye early on but took control using the ring steps and the Walls of Jericho. Wayne reached the ropes to escape, then threw a drink into Jerichoâs eyes and connected with a 450 splash for a near fall.
Jericho fought back with a dive from the top rope onto Wayne at ringside. He also countered into a Codebreaker, but Wayne stayed in the match.
A late referee knockdown gave Wayne an opening to attempt two low blows. Neither worked, as Jericho revealed he was wearing a protective cup.
Jericho removed the cup and struck Wayne with it while the referee was still down. However, Wayne ultimately caught him in a cradle to claim the win.
Wayne now leads their series 2-1, having also defeated Jericho at Grand Slam France earlier this month.
Winner: Nick Wayne
Matt and Nick Jackson retained their titles against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight in a match packed with double-team offence.
Don Callis joined the commentary team and twice found himself fleeing from the Bucks at ringside.
Fletcher and Knight controlled significant portions of the contest. Their offence included a variation of the Doomsday Device, while Knight connected with a coast-to-coast dropkick that struck both champions.
Matt answered with rolling Northern Lights suplexes on both challengers. Fletcher delivered half-and-half suplexes to both Bucks, while Nick survived a brainbuster and Fletcherâs Grimstone.
As the match progressed, communication problems continued to affect Fletcher and Knight. The Bucks capitalised by drawing Knight into position and finishing him with the BTE Trigger.
The victory was the second successful defence of the Bucksâ fourth championship reign, which began at All Out last month.
Winners and still AEW World Tag Team Champions: The Young Bucks
Persephone overcame three challengers to retain the TBS Championship.
Luna, Hyan and Aminata initially joined forces against the champion. Luna entered with momentum after pinning Persephone in a tag team match on Wednesdayâs Dynamite.
Luna powerbombed Hyan out to the floor and later earned a near fall with a thunder bomb. Aminata landed a top-rope double stomp on Luna, while Hyan put together a sequence of a spear, a running knee and a falcon arrow against Aminata.
Persephone found her opening and pinned Hyan following a moonsault.
Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. was absent from ringside during the match but appeared afterwards to celebrate with the champion. Persephone and Baker had teamed together at CMLLâs Arena Mexico show the previous night.
Nigel McGuinness also took over from Paul Wight on commentary beginning with this match.
Winner and still TBS Champion: Persephone
With his wife and daughter Willow watching from ringside, Tommaso Ciampa challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship.
Andrade paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero by delivering the Three Amigos on the floor. He followed with a moonsault for a near fall.
An unusual moment saw Andrade attempt to remove his pants, only for them to become stuck around his knees. Ciampa seized the opportunity, removing his own tights to reveal another pair bearing the words âI just know,â before covering Andrade with the championâs pants for a two count.
Andrade recovered to connect with two running knees, but Ciampa remained in contention.
Late in the match, Ciampa pushed Andrade into a cameraman and used the camera as a weapon. He also brought the National Championship belt into play.
Referee Aubrey Edwards prevented Ciampa from using a chair, but he still managed to deliver Willowâs Bell onto the title belt. Andrade kicked out at two before eventually winning with a DDT.
Andrade also remains in possession of his contract for an AEW World Championship match, which requires seven daysâ notice to cash in.
Winner and still AEW National Champion: Andrade El Idolo
âHangmanâ Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King reclaimed the AEW World Trios Championship by defeating Swerve Strickland, Kofi and Austin Creed two falls to one.
Page and Strickland were brawling within minutes of the opening bell. The champions gained the early advantage when Kofi pinned Bandido to take the first fall.
Strickland nearly secured a clean sweep after hitting Page with the House Call. However, the challengers fought back, with King crushing The New Level together in the corner before Bandido pinned Creed to level the match.
The deciding fall brought several major moments. Page hit an Orihara moonsault onto Strickland at ringside, while King dived through the ropes onto all three champions.
A Buckshot Lariat appeared to have Creed beaten, but Strickland broke up the pin by delivering a double stomp onto Bandido.
King then powerbombed Kofi and Creed from the top rope together. Bandido followed by suplexing both men from the top before eventually catching Strickland with the 21-plex for the championship-winning pin.
Strickland grabbed the belts from the referee after the match and shouted, âThey donât deserve this.â
Kofi and Creed handed their championships to the winners and shook hands. Strickland appeared ready to pass his belt to Page, but instead dropped it in front of him and walked away.
Page, King and Bandido first won the titles at Arena Mexico earlier this year before losing them to Strickland and The New Level at All In London in August.
Winners and new AEW World Trios Champions: âHangmanâ Adam Page and Brodido
Following the trios championship match, Renee Paquette introduced Ilja Dragunov as the newest member of the AEW roster.
Dragunov received a big response from the Orlando crowd and soaked up the reception as his entrance music played. He did not speak or compete during the appearance.
His arrival followed his departure from WWE in August, when his contract expired.
Jon Moxley retained the AEW Continental Championship in a punishing and emotional battle with Mark Davis.
Moxley entered wearing a Newcastle United jersey in a nod to PACâs support for the club. Davis came into the match having pinned the champion with a piledriver on Wednesdayâs Dynamite.
An early elbow from Davis opened a cut on Moxley. The challenger continued attacking the wound with elbows and biting, while also applying a rear naked choke.
Moxley responded with a tope that sent Davis into the announce table, a cross armbreaker and biting of his own.
Davis then delivered a piledriver on the apron, leaving Moxley on the floor holding his neck. The champion returned at the count of nine, only to be kicked back outside and face another countout scare.
Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia remained behind the barricade but got close enough to urge Moxley to keep going.
Back inside, the pair traded elbows and headbutts. Moxley even placed his hands behind his back and invited Davis to strike him.
Davis was also left bleeding after Moxley avoided a piledriver and the challenger hit the turnbuckle. Davis connected with a deadlift German suplex, while Moxley earned a near fall with the Death Rider.
Moxley escaped the pendulum piledriver and applied PACâs Brutalizer to a huge crowd reaction. He then transitioned into a rear naked choke.
Davis faded in the hold, prompting the referee to stop the match. After retaining, Moxley collapsed in front of the Death Riders, visibly overcome with emotion.
Winner and still AEW Continental Champion: Jon Moxley
Will Ospreay survived the first Clockwork Carnage match, scoring the decisive fall with just three seconds remaining to retain the AEW World Championship.
Ospreay drew the first entry, with Konosuke Takeshita starting opposite him at number two. Additional competitors entered every three minutes in the following order:
Number three: âSpeedballâ Mike Bailey.
Number four: Ricochet.
Number five: TNT Champion Darby Allin.
Number six: International Champion Kazuchika Okada.
Number seven: Adam Copeland.
Number eight: Samoa Joe.
During the entry phase, a pinfall or submission resulted in elimination.
Ospreay and Bailey initially combined against Takeshita, but he managed to take both men down. Ricochet and Takeshita later worked together against Bailey.
Takeshita eliminated Bailey after connecting with a Blue Thunder Bomb and Raging Fire. However, Takeshitaâs own challenge ended when Okada struck him with a Rainmaker, shortly after Takeshita had hit Copeland with a Blue Thunder Bomb.
Allin competed with a brace on his left knee. He set up a table at ringside early in the match and later took a knee strike from Takeshita in midair while attempting a dive.
Joeâs arrival triggered the 15-minute scoring period, with six competitors still involved.
Joe registered the first fall by pinning Allin after a Muscle Buster. Ricochet then pinned Allin while Joe was occupied with a dive to the floor, and Okada scored against Copeland following a Rainmaker.
Ospreay got on the board by pinning Ricochet with a Styles Clash. Allin immediately answered with a Coffin Drop to pin Ospreay, then caught Copeland in a cradle to claim his second fall.
Ospreay responded by hitting Allin with a Hidden Blade and pinning him.
With seven minutes remaining, Ospreay and Allin were tied on two falls. Okada, Ricochet and Joe each had one, while Copeland had yet to score.
Copeland speared Ricochet through the ropes and through the table at ringside. Joe then delivered a uranage to Allin onto the ring steps before submitting Ospreay with the Coquina Clutch to reach two falls.
Copeland finally opened his account by spearing and pinning Joe. He quickly added another fall when he caught Ricochet coming off the top rope with a spear and pinned him, creating a four-way tie on two falls.
An Impaler DDT left Ospreay down, but Copeland could not make the cover. Copeland then countered a Rainmaker and speared Okada.
As Copeland covered Okada, Ospreay struck him with the Hidden Blade and secured the pin with three seconds left on the clock.
The final scores were:
Will Ospreay: Three falls.
Samoa Joe: Two falls.
Adam Copeland: Two falls.
Darby Allin: Two falls.
Kazuchika Okada: One fall.
Ricochet: One fall.
Copeland shoved Ospreay after the match before offering a handshake, which the champion accepted.
Copeland then pulled Ospreay closer, pointed towards the championship and made it clear that he was coming for the title.
Winner and still AEW World Champion: Will Ospreay
