Britt Baker made a winning start to her CMLL career on Friday night, teaming with Persephone at Arena México as Olympia claimed the 2026 Universal de Amazonas tournament crown.

Baker and Persephone defeated Thunder Rosa and Tessa Blanchard in the evening’s semifinal match. The AEW star secured the victory for her team by applying the Lockjaw to Rosa.

Celebrating the result, CMLL wrote:

“Victory for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Persephone! The powerful combination of the AEW star and the Goddess of CMLL proved too much for Thunder Rosa and Tessa Blanchard, who fell in the semifinal match of #ViernesEspectacularCMLL.”

Baker wore American-themed gear for her first appearance at Arena México. Her arrival followed a tease from Persephone the previous week, with the tag team match officially announced on Tuesday.

The night also brought a major moment for Olympia, who defeated Skadi in the final to win the CMLL Universal de Amazonas 2026 tournament.

The full results from CMLL Viernes Espectacular on October 16 were:

• Garra Negra and Johnnie Robbie defeated Dark Silueta and Reyna Isis.

• Kira defeated Hera in a lightning match.

• Emersyn Jayne and Momo Watanabe defeated Keyra and Zeuxis.

• India Sioux and Lluvia defeated AZM and Miyu Amasaki.

• Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Persephone defeated Tessa Blanchard and Thunder Rosa.

• Olympia defeated Skadi in the CMLL Universal de Amazonas 2026 tournament final.
