Avery Styles has reportedly been seen wearing a walking boot following TNA Wrestling’s latest television tapings, raising concerns about a possible injury.
The 19-year-old son of AJ Styles competed against Joe Alonzo at the October 14 tapings in Dothan, Alabama. Their match is scheduled to air on the October 22 episode of Impact.
Fightful Select reported that Avery was among the wrestlers who came out of the tapings feeling “banged up”.
“There were a couple of wrestlers banged up after TNA tapings this week. Avery Styles was in a walking boot following the tapings, Fightful Select has learned.”
The report did not provide further details about his condition, including the nature of any injury or whether he could miss time in the ring.
The news comes shortly after Avery made his TNA in-ring debut at Bound for Glory on October 11. He entered the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, which was won by Frankie Kazarian.
Kazarian subsequently announced plans to use his title opportunity to challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Championship alongside Avery.
Avery’s match with Alonzo is part of an October 22 Impact card that also includes:
Jason Hotch defending the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali in a two-out-of-three falls match.
Rich Swann facing Cedric Alexander, Fabian Aichner and KC Navarro for a future X-Division Championship opportunity.
