Adam Copeland could bring his wrestling career to a close in Toronto, with a new report suggesting AEW may look to stage his farewell match in the Canadian city.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, a source indicated that AEW could make an effort to hold Copeland’s retirement match in Toronto. However, the idea remains speculation, with no date or venue confirmed.
The report follows Copeland’s announcement that 2027 will be his final year in wrestling.
Copeland shared the news during this week’s three-hour Dynamite and Collision special, shortly after defeating Josh Alexander to qualify for Clockwork Carnage at AEW WrestleDream 2026.
His retirement announcement also followed an update on Christian Cage, who suffered a serious injury during the ladder match at AEW All Out 2026.
Now 52, Copeland has been wrestling since the early 1990s. His career has taken him through several promotions, but many fans first came to know him as Edge during his WWE Hall of Fame career.
A farewell in Toronto would give Canadian fans a chance to celebrate that journey, although it remains to be seen where Copeland’s final match will take place.
