Lola Vice has opened up about a frightening fall during her first WWE Money in the Bank ladder match, admitting the moment could have ended far worse.
Vice competed in the match on October 10, where an exchange with Jacy Jayne sent both women tumbling backwards. Vice had locked Jayne in a chokehold near the top of a ladder before the fall saw her land on another ladder and then hit the floor.
Speaking to WWE Ahora, the former NXT Women’s Champion looked back at the painful incident and explained how quickly things went wrong.
“I had Jacy in a choke and when I put her to sleep, she fell back and I fell with her. I thought that was the end of it, but suddenly the ladder went backwards, and literally, it got us out of the ring. Because of that, I didn’t win Money in the Bank. It hurt a lot and was very scary, but looking back, thank God it came out like this because it could have been very ugly. I think an injury in a Ladder match would have been rough. They are not for everyone, but thank God I’m strong and I was able to do it.”
Despite missing out on the briefcase, Vice expressed relief that the fall did not have a more serious outcome. Her comments offered a reminder of the physical risks involved in one of WWE’s most demanding matches.
Vice officially joined Raw in August after spending nearly four years in NXT. Her first Money in the Bank appearance has already given her a painful moment to reflect on as she continues her main roster journey.
