WWE has confirmed two champion versus champion matches for Crown Jewel on November 7, with Roman Reigns facing Sami Zayn and Liv Morgan taking on Chelsea Green.
The announcements came during Monday’s Raw, where WWE continued to advertise Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the host city for the premium live event.
World Heavyweight Champion Reigns will meet WWE Champion Zayn for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship. Women’s World Champion Morgan will battle WWE Women’s Champion Green for the women’s honour.
Morgan and Green wasted little time building tension on Raw. Morgan dismissed Green’s championship reign before Roxanne Perez confronted Green, leading to a match between the pair.
During the bout, Green sent Morgan flying across the announce table at ringside. However, the distraction gave Perez an opening to hit Pop Rocks and secure the victory.
Meanwhile, questions remain over the event’s location. According to F4WOnline, the Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen has claimed responsibility for several attacks at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The group also issued another warning concerning Saudi airports and airspace on Sunday.
Despite that uncertainty, WWE’s latest announcement still lists Riyadh as the venue.
The confirmed Crown Jewel Championship matches are:
Men’s Crown Jewel Championship: World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Sami Zayn.
Women’s Crown Jewel Championship: Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.
