AEW’s UK television audience has fallen considerably over the past two years, with Dynamite’s September average on ITV4 dropping to around half its previous level.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dynamite averaged 58,000 viewers in September, down from 67,000 in August. Collision’s September average stood at 56,000 or fewer viewers as of late in the month. Its August figure was approximately 59,000 or slightly lower, with one episode’s audience unavailable.
The decline marks a change from 2025, when AEW enjoyed strong growth in the UK while its American television audience was falling. The Observer reports that AEW’s US figures are now at their strongest in years, even without including viewers watching through HBO Max.
One possible factor behind the UK drop is MyAEW. The Observer suggested that dedicated fans may be choosing the service, which offers shows without commercial breaks, including the portions of matches that take place during US adverts. Pay-per-view discounts are also included.
ITV4’s scheduling provides further context. AEW programming airs on a two-day delay, with start times varying from week to week and frequently falling after 11 p.m.
Despite the declining figures, Tony Khan has remained loyal to ITV. The broadcaster partnered with AEW before TNT did, and the Observer reports that Khan has not appeared to explore alternative UK television deals.
The UK remains AEW’s second-biggest market overall and its leading market for major shows. The company previously extended its agreement with ITV to keep its programming available on free-to-air television.
