AEW is heading back to Mexico before the end of 2026, with Monterrey set to host this year’s Winter is Coming.
The promotion has announced that Arena Monterrey will stage Dynamite and a Collision taping on Wednesday, December 9. Both shows will carry the Winter is Coming name, marking AEW’s first visit to the city.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. Central time.
Andrade El Idolo, Bandido, Persephone, Thunder Rosa and The New Level duo Austin Creed and Kofi feature on the promotional artwork.
The move follows two successful Grand Slam Mexico editions of Dynamite in Mexico City in 2025 and 2026. Tony Khan has previously spoken about wanting to bring AEW to more Mexican cities, and Monterrey will be the next stop in that expansion.
Winter is Coming has become a regular fixture on AEW’s December calendar since its debut in 2020. That first event featured Sting’s arrival in the company and Kenny Omega capturing his first AEW World Championship. Will Ospreay currently holds the title as AEW builds towards this year’s show.
The Monterrey event will take place just ten days before Worlds End in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 19. Before then, AEW has WrestleDream in Orlando, Florida on October 17 and Full Gear in Phoenix, Arizona on November 14.
