Maven has apologised to Enzo Amore and wrestling fans after releasing an interview featuring criticism of AEW shortly after PAC’s death.
The interview sparked concern over its timing, with Enzo explaining that his comments were recorded in March 2025, more than a year and a half before the video appeared on Maven’s YouTube channel.
During the conversation, Enzo criticised backstage disputes in AEW becoming public.
“Fck AEW for all the pssy a** fighting that they do over there and letting it leak and sh*t. We are some badasses that you got to keep some credibility in that locker room.”
The upload followed the announcement that PAC, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, had died aged 40, and AEW’s tribute edition of Dynamite.
Enzo previously worked with PAC in WWE, where he competed as Neville. The pair faced each other at No Mercy in 2017, when Enzo won the Cruiserweight Championship.
Responding on X, Enzo praised AEW’s tribute and expressed his disappointment over the interview’s release.
“I talked to Maven in March of 2025. He waited to come off the heels of a beautiful tribute show for PAC to post the interview. I thought the tribute show was absolute class. Everyone who paid tribute, thank you for honoring Ben. I’m still grieving, Maven is clearly not.”
Maven subsequently issued an apology through his YouTube channel, acknowledging why the timing had upset viewers.
“Hey guys, I wanted to address the Enzo Amore video. First, we want to apologize to Enzo and any fans who were upset or hurt by the timing of our latest upload. Nothing malicious was intended, but looking back, we fully understand why the timing bothered some people. Moving forward, we’ll make sure we’re more mindful about our content and when we release it.”
Explaining the delay, Maven said Enzo had requested that a significant section be removed. That request was honoured, but the remaining interview then went unreleased for some time.
“Enzo recorded with us back in 2025, but there was a portion of the interview he later asked us not to release. We honored that request, and because that was a significant part of the original video, the interview ended up sitting unreleased for quite a while. Over time, we heard from viewers who still wanted us to release what we could from the interview. Last Friday, our regular upload was much shorter than what we normally post, so we felt it was a good opportunity to give you guys a little extra and finally release that version.”
Maven also stressed that the published interview did not contain the material Enzo had asked him to cut.
“Just to be completely clear, the portion Enzo asked us to remove was removed. We honored that request, and it does not appear anywhere in the video. Again, our apologies. We’re learning from this, and we’ll do better and be more mindful going forward.”
The interview remained available on Maven’s YouTube channel as of Thursday, October 8.
