WWE has shared an emotional tribute to Pac, with friends and fellow wrestlers remembering his remarkable talent, generosity and the person he was away from the ring.
The video, published on October 7, follows AEW’s announcement on September 27 that Pac, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, had passed away aged 40. WWE fans also knew him as Neville.
For those who shared the ring with him, his ability left a lasting impression. Kevin Owens recalled telling Pac after their first match, “You’re like the best wrestler I’ve ever seen and ever worked with.”
Owens added, “As a performer, there’s nothing at all that he couldn’t do better than anyone else.”
Despite that praise, Pac was remembered as someone who remained humble and wanted the people around him to succeed.
Big Cass recalled how Pac would put his opponents first, telling him, “Let’s highlight you, big man. Let’s do everything you want to do. Let’s make sure we shine you tonight.”
Tyson Kidd offered his own explanation for why so many wrestlers produced memorable performances alongside him.
“The reason why everybody had such great matches with Ben was because Ben was in them.”
The tributes also celebrated Pac’s kindness, sense of humour and authenticity. Becky Lynch said, “He didn’t have to try to be anything because he just was,” while Kidd remembered him as “the best of us.”
Friends spoke warmly about his love for his wife, Natalie, and his family. They also recalled the happiness he showed whenever he talked about heading home to Newcastle.
Sami Zayn struggled to express the depth of their friendship and his grief, eventually reflecting on the experiences they had shared.
“We were so lucky. We had the best life, man, and we got to share it together.”
Cody Rhodes encouraged fans to remember the man behind the performances as well as his achievements in wrestling.
“I hope they can discover the magic of what you did outside the ring, which was just maintain your identity and be a good man.”
