New Orleans could be back in the WrestleMania spotlight in 2029, with a new report pointing to the Superdome as a potential host for WrestleMania 45.
According to Fightful, WWE and the city have a hold on the stadium for spring 2029. That could pave the way for WrestleMania to return, although an official announcement has not been made.
New Orleans was originally lined up to host WrestleMania 42 before WWE moved the event to Las Vegas for a second consecutive year. The city was promised a future WrestleMania following that change, and the reported hold offers a possible indication of when it could happen.
The Superdome previously hosted WrestleMania 30 and WrestleMania 34. A return would bring WWE’s biggest annual event back to a city known for its lively nightlife and appeal to visiting fans.
Several cities remain in the conversation for upcoming editions. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is officially set to host WrestleMania 43 in April 2027, while Nashville, Tennessee, has been rumoured as a possible destination for WrestleMania 44. Indianapolis is also due to host a future WrestleMania as part of its agreement with WWE.
For now, New Orleans fans have Money in the Bank to look forward to. The event takes place at the Smoothie King Center this Saturday, October 10, after being awarded to the city following the WrestleMania switch.
Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight, with the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches also on the card.
