Mark Davis has secured a shot at Jon Moxley’s AEW Continental Championship, with their title match confirmed for WrestleDream on October 17.
The Don Callis Family member earned the opportunity at AEW Grand Slam France on October 6, teaming with Jake Doyle to take on Moxley and Gabe Kidd.
Following a hard-hitting contest, Davis pinned Kidd to claim victory for his team. Moxley was visibly unhappy with the result, and AEW subsequently announced that Davis would challenge him at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Davis now faces a champion with an impressive record. Moxley has held the Continental Championship since winning the 2025 Continental Classic and has made nine successful title defences.
His run also includes winning the Continental Challenge Cup, having defeated Nigel McGuinness in the final at AEW All In.
Although Davis secured his latest victory over Kidd, getting the better of Moxley’s team gives him momentum heading into one of his biggest opportunities. At WrestleDream, he will need to defeat the champion himself to leave with the gold.
The event will also feature the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship, with Samoa Joe already having qualified.
