LA Knight took aim at Roman Reigns on the October 5 episode of WWE RAW, branding the World Heavyweight Champion a “corporate puppet” just five days before their clash at Money in the Bank.
Their heated confrontation followed a recap of 946’s attack on Jacob Fatu last week. Reigns and The Bloodline were shown talking backstage before Knight’s entrance music interrupted the conversation.
With 946 continuing to cause trouble, Knight acknowledged the threat posed by the group but made it clear his priority was winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
The challenger warned that Reigns would be entering his world at Money in the Bank while also having to consider what might happen to his family. Knight vowed to bring down the establishment and everything he believed the champion represented.
Reigns soon arrived to answer him.
The champion said he was born in the deep end and accused Knight of being a hypocrite for repeatedly bringing his family into their rivalry. He also pointed to his recent title defence against Penta, arguing that he had put in the work during the match while Knight chose an easier route afterwards.
Reigns dismissed the idea that they were equals, describing himself as a “doer” and Knight as a “complainer.” He went on to call his challenger another “egg in the omelet” and promised to break him at Money in the Bank.
Knight responded with his strongest words of the night.
He labelled Reigns the “most manufactured corporate puppet industry plant” he had ever seen, before mocking the champion’s “big oversized ultraviolet teeth.”
Knight also claimed the corporate machine had pushed Reigns so far that he was surprised the champion was not spitting out rocket fuel.
He closed with a promise to drop Reigns on his head and leave New Orleans as the new World Heavyweight Champion, setting the stage for a tense title showdown.
