Monica Monroe and Josiah Jean have joined WWE ID following a memorable night at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion.

Both prospects were announced as new signees during Saturday’s Rise to Wrestling Royalty event in Texas City, Texas. For Monroe, the occasion also brought championship success as she defeated Laynie Luck to capture the WWE ID Women’s Championship.

The official WWE ID account celebrated her victory with the following message:

“History made at @TheOfficialROW!!! Monica Monroe has defeated Laynie Luck to win the WWE ID Women’s Championship! Congrats to the new champion @wrestleladybird! She has been ID’d!”

Jean also enjoyed a special moment, with Booker T personally presenting him with his WWE ID contract during the show.

“@ItsJeanRock was just presented a WWE ID contract by @BookerT5x at @TheOfficialROW! The Rocket has been ID’d!”

Both wrestlers have built their experience on the Texas independent scene, with appearances for Reality of Wrestling and other promotions across the state.

Monroe has also competed in AEW and Ring of Honor under the name Lady Bird Monroe. On the January 31 edition of AEW Collision in Arlington, she teamed with Gino Medina in a losing effort against Orange Cassidy and Toni Storm.

Three days earlier, she appeared at ROH’s tapings in Cedar Park, where she and Viva Van lost to Hyan and Maya World.

Jean’s experience includes appearances for independent promotions in Houston and Fort Worth. He also competed at ROH’s January 10 tapings in Arlington, teaming with Dante Leon against Satnam Singh in a two-on-one handicap match won by Singh.

Saturday’s announcements mark a new chapter for both prospects, with Monroe beginning her WWE ID journey as the programme’s women’s champion.
