Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan will battle for a Womenâs World Championship opportunity when WWE Raw heads to St. Louis on Monday, October 5.
The winner will challenge Stephanie Vaquer at Money in the Bank just five days later. Roman Reigns is also set to return as WWE puts the finishing touches on Rawâs build to Saturdayâs event.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed the line-up in his weekly preview, with the show airing live from the Enterprise Center at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Netflix.
âWe will determine a number one contender to Stephanie Vaquer and her Womenâs World Championship, because Liv Morgan battles Becky Lynch live on the flagship,â Pearce said.
Lynch and Morgan have unfinished business following WWEâs September 12 live event in Santiago, Chile. With Lynch serving as special guest referee, Morgan appeared close to retaining her championship after hitting Vaquer with Oblivion. However, Lynch stopped counting at two.
Morgan confronted Lynch, opening the door for Vaquer to take the championship and end Morganâs 147-day reign. The victory marked Vaquerâs second run with the title after losing it to Morgan at WrestleMania 42.
Morgan has yet to receive a rematch, but beating Lynch would give her the chance to reclaim the gold in New Orleans.
Meanwhile, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will make his first Raw appearance since September 14, with LA Knight waiting for him at Money in the Bank.
âBetween The 946 and the Bloodline and LA Knight, your World Heavyweight Champion, the OTC Roman Reigns, has a lot on his mind,â Pearce said. âAnd Iâm sure weâre going to hear all about it live tomorrow night in St. Louis.â
Knight attacked Reigns with a BFT after Raw went off the air in Mexico City, following the championâs successful defence against Penta. Reigns subsequently accepted Knightâs challenge, setting up their championship showdown.
Mondayâs show will also bring several Money in the Bank opponents together in tag team action.
Penta and JeâVon Evans will face World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory. Penta, Evans and Breakker are all entered in the menâs ladder match, giving each a chance to build momentum before Saturday.
Penta secured his place after replacing Solo Sikoa in a September 21 qualifier, following Sikoaâs abduction by The 946.
In the womenâs division, Sol Ruca and Lola Vice will team up against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Ruca, Vice and Perez will then compete against one another in the womenâs Money in the Bank ladder match.
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix is also scheduled to face Ethan Page.
âYou saw him run his mouth, yeah Iâm talking about Ethan Page,â Pearce said. âNow heâs gonna have to back it up when he goes one-on-one with Rey Fenix.â
The announced Raw line-up is:
Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan to determine Stephanie Vaquerâs Womenâs World Championship challenger.
Penta and JeâVon Evans vs. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory.
Sol Ruca and Lola Vice vs. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
Rey Fenix vs. Ethan Page.
An appearance by World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
Money in the Bank takes place on Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and will stream on ESPNâs streaming service in the United States. The announced card features:
Menâs Money in the Bank ladder match: Bron Breakker vs. JeâVon Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. Penta vs. CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens.
Womenâs Money in the Bank ladder match: Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Lash Legend vs. Tiffany Stratton.
