Wardlow is back in action after more than two years away from the ring.
The former AEW TNT Champion wrestled his first match in 932 days on Wednesday’s Dynamite, returning during the special episode dedicated to PAC.
Wardlow rejoined the Don Callis Family for a ten-man tag team match against the Death Riders, whose line-up featured a surprise appearance from Bryan Danielson.
His last match took place on March 13, 2024, when he challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship and came up short. That episode of Dynamite also featured Mercedes Moné’s AEW debut.
Wardlow’s road back has included two significant injury setbacks. After a lengthy absence with a knee injury, he returned at Forbidden Door in August 2025, aligning with the Don Callis Family and attacking Swerve Strickland. The attack wrote Strickland off television, but Wardlow tore his pectoral muscle during the segment, delaying his return to competition.
AEW began building anticipation for his latest comeback with a vignette at All Out this past weekend. Wednesday’s match finally brought his long wait to an end.
During his time away from the ring, Wardlow also took part in the American Gladiators reboot on Amazon Prime. The 38-year-old has been with AEW since 2020.
