AEW Dynamite Results: Emotional PAC Tribute Features Ospreay vs. Ricochet and Danielson Return

AEW Dynamite comes from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 30, with a special night dedicated to the life and career of PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 40.

The advertised card features AEW World Champion Will Ospreay against Ricochet, Jon Moxley defending the Continental Championship against Orange Cassidy, an eight-man match reuniting The Elite, and a women’s trios contest featuring Pittsburgh’s own Britt Baker.

Ospreay and Ricochet both share significant history with PAC. Ospreay faced him at All Out 2024, while Ricochet’s connection with him stretches back to their days in Dragon Gate.

According to the latest WrestleTix update ahead of the broadcast, 2,779 tickets have been distributed. AEW’s previous visit to the venue in September 2025 drew 2,908.

Dynamite opens with a memorial graphic for Benjamin Satterley. Excalibur sits alone at the commentary desk and remembers PAC as a devoted son, loving husband and dear friend whose personality away from wrestling was very different from his character.

He describes him as a favourite among his fellow wrestlers and one of the warmest people anyone could meet. Whether fans knew him as PAC, Neville, the King of the Cruiserweights, the Man That Gravity Forgot or simply Ben, Excalibur says he was one of a kind.

“Gannin’ along the Scotswood Road, to see the Blaydon Races.”

Tony Schiavone stands in the ring beside a memorial wreath and a photograph of PAC. He says AEW is a family and everyone remains heartbroken by the news they received on Sunday. Schiavone remembers someone who could play a ruthless character in the ring before walking backstage and being a wonderful human being. He encourages everyone to learn from the kindness and friendliness Ben showed those around him.

Footage follows of Jon Moxley speaking after Saturday’s All Out, with PAC standing alongside the Death Riders in what would be his final appearance on AEW’s cameras.

An emotional Moxley acknowledges that Will Ospreay was the better man that night and had survived everything he could throw at him. He reflects on the importance of accepting defeat, explaining that losses happen in wrestling and in life, and people will not always receive what they want or deserve.

Moxley says the answer is to get up and keep going because every day is a gift. He talks about performing in front of sold-out crowds in Tokyo and Chicago, with fans spending their hard-earned money to watch them, and calls wrestling the best job in the world.

He says Ospreay’s victory has earned him more hard work. Moxley also reflects on the difference between being remembered for what someone accomplished and being remembered for who they were. He does not know which he would want for himself, but he knows what he expects from Ospreay.

Moxley believes the wrestlers have been given the future of the business, with children around the world dreaming of doing what they do. He urges Ospreay, the Death Riders and anyone willing to pursue greatness to recognise the opportunity and make something of it.

Moxley leaves, followed by Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Marina Shafir. PAC is the last person to walk out of the shot.

Back in the arena, the roster gathers on the stage as Schiavone leads a ten-bell salute.

The Death Riders’ music plays, and a spotlight illuminates a chair holding PAC’s towel in the aisle. The group remains behind as Moxley makes his way to the ring alone.

AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy fights back tears during his entrance. Schiavone and Excalibur discuss continuing with the show in PAC’s memory, with Excalibur visibly struggling through the emotion.

The match begins with lock-ups and arm drags before Moxley lands the first chop. A quick exchange of pinning attempts leaves neither man with an advantage.

A test of strength turns into a choke from Moxley, but Cassidy reaches the ropes. They trade shoulder blocks before Moxley sends Cassidy outside and drives him into the commentary desk as the broadcast heads to a break.

Moxley is happy to take a count-out, while Cassidy repeatedly teases returning to the ring before finally beating the count. The champion continues to control the action during the commercial and delivers a delayed piledriver that brings the crowd to its feet.

Cassidy responds by sending Moxley’s head into the turnbuckle ten times. Moxley recovers and connects with a dropkick from the apron, but Cassidy begins frustrating him by rolling away whenever he tries to keep him in position.

The sequence recalls Cassidy’s match with PAC at Revolution 2020. When Moxley finally catches up with him, Cassidy slowly rolls back in the other direction to a loud reaction.

Cassidy follows with a tope and a diving attack from the top rope for two. He climbs again, only for Moxley to copy his earlier tactic by rolling towards the opposite corner.

An Orange Punch misses, and Moxley attempts the Paradigm Shift. Cassidy escapes and lands the Orange Punch, but Moxley answers with a cutter, leaving both men down.

Cassidy’s light kicks draw heavy forearms from Moxley. A thrust kick from the challenger leads to another exchange of strikes, before Moxley surprises the crowd by delivering little kicks of his own, including a spinning back kick.

Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets. Moxley appears ready to follow his lead, then gives him the middle finger instead.

Cassidy lands a dropkick and two Orange Punches, followed by a cazadora pinning attempt for two. The Stundog Millionaire connects, but Moxley immediately responds by grabbing a choke. Cassidy escapes into a crucifix for another near fall.

Moxley avoids Beach Break, but Cassidy catches him with a penalty kick. Cassidy removes his elbow pad and prepares another Orange Punch, only to run into PAC’s trademark running lariat.

Cassidy kicks out, and Moxley applies the Brutalizer to a huge reaction. Cassidy turns it into a pinning attempt before locking in a Brutalizer of his own.

Moxley fights free, delivers a Curb Stomp and follows with the Death Rider to retain his championship.

Bryan Danielson’s music plays after the bell. He walks to the ring with tears in his eyes as Moxley slowly gets to his feet. The two embrace in the centre of the ring, both overcome with emotion.

Winner: Jon Moxley retains the AEW Continental Championship.

Hangman Adam Page appears in a recorded tribute and recalls meeting Ben on his first day in the company. He quickly discovered that the man known as The Bastard was one of the kindest and most welcoming people he would ever meet.

Page says Ben became one of his favourite people to work with. He remembers how much Ben loved wrestling, particularly the people he met throughout his career, and how deeply he cared about them. Fighting through tears, Page says he will miss him and thanks him before saying goodbye.

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher, Kevin Knight, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero)

The Don Callis Family attacks immediately, trapping Nick Jackson in the corner for a succession of strikes before Kyle Fletcher attempts an early cover.

Matt Jackson makes a blind tag, allowing the AEW Tag Team Champions to respond with an assisted pop-up hurricanrana. Kevin Knight enters and takes a somersault neckbreaker, while Trent Beretta is caught with an assisted sunset flip into a powerbomb.

The Bucks strike their pose, but Rocky Romero interrupts. Romero performs his sliding corner shimmy without noticing that he is positioned between Page and Omega. The former tag team champions knock him back and forth until he retreats.

Beretta then takes a big boot and a running face-first slam from Omega. The Elite continues its coordinated attack before all four members launch themselves outside with simultaneous Terminator dives.

Back in the ring, The Elite takes a corner each for mounted punches. Beretta is then hit with a Buckle Bomb and enzuigiri combination.

Fletcher prevents More Bang for Your Buck and drops Nick with a half-and-half suplex. Knight catches Matt with a hurricanrana out of the corner, then takes out Page and Omega with a springboard dive.

RPG Vice delivers Strong Zero to Matt, but Nick breaks up the cover as the match heads into a commercial.

Matt fights back after the break, taking on everyone in front of him. Romero briefly stops his momentum and attempts the Forever Clotheslines, only to be caught in a series of Northern Lights suplexes. Beretta tries to help and receives one as well.

Nick tags in with a crossbody onto both members of RPG Vice, then connects with a headscissors and arm-drag combination. Fletcher and Knight enter but collide with one another, opening the door for Page.

Page takes out Beretta and Fletcher with a slingshot dive, catches Knight with a fallaway slam, then kips up and delivers a running shooting star press for two.

Omega receives a huge reaction when he tags in and clears the opposing corner. Knight slows him with an eye rake but misses a jumping lariat, allowing Omega to start delivering snap dragon suplexes.

Fletcher saves Beretta from a V-Trigger and plants Omega with a Michinoku Driver. Knight follows with a springboard lariat to Matt, while Romero hits Page with a running Sliced Bread. RPG Vice then catches Nick with a double knee strike.

Another Strong Zero attempt is interrupted as Matt and Page prevent Romero and Fletcher from completing the attack. Knight tries to finish it by springing from the top rope, but Omega catches him in mid-air with a V-Trigger.

Page and Matt superkick Beretta together, and Nick follows with a Code Red. Romero is then surrounded and hit with a series of superkicks from The Elite.

Omega delivers You Can’t Escape, Page launches into an Orihara moonsault, and The Bucks join the aerial assault with dives of their own.

Back inside, Page and Omega hit Beretta with the Buckshot Lariat and V-Trigger combination. The Bucks add a BTE Trigger before Page and both Jackson brothers launch themselves outside again.

Omega finishes Beretta with the One-Winged Angel. The Elite embraces in the ring following the victory.

Winners: The Elite, with Kenny Omega pinning Trent Beretta.

Cash Wheeler shares his memories of Ben, saying he will miss his smile and the person he was. Wheeler stresses that his admiration goes beyond wrestling, describing someone whose presence made their lives better. He says they will all miss him and sends his love.

Jay White follows, explaining that he does not think Ben understood how much he meant to the locker room or to White personally.

White remembers repeatedly watching PAC’s work and trying to replicate even a fraction of his speed. He describes Ben as a wrestler in a league of his own, a complete professional and an exceptional person.

He says the evening still feels like a PAC appreciation night that everyone is waiting for Ben to attend. White sends his love to Ben’s wife, family and friends.

At ringside, Renee Paquette thanks the audience for helping celebrate PAC’s life. She then reads a statement from his wife Natalie, mother Jillian and father Stephen.

“We’re completely devastated to have lost our beautiful Ben, but the love and support we’ve received through every corner of the globe has been helping us get through these awful days. Whilst he will always have a legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers the UK has ever produced, we’ve been so glad to see so many wonderful tributes to who Ben was as a person. He exemplified what it meant to be a decent human being. An honorable man with principals, who adored his family and his sausage dog Wolfie. Ben loved Newcastle United, he loved reggae and hip-hop, he loved nights out dancing with his wife and friends and spending time with his parents, who now must mourn the loss of their only child.

Ben had a long and illustrious career that took him all over the world. In late- 2018, he met Tony Khan, who changed his life forever. Tony’s faith in Ben was never lost on him and he was always committed to giving the best performance he possibly could. Ben was so happy and proud to be part of this AEW family and to be in an encouraging, caring environment that he could feel at ease in. He made some wonderful friends with his time in the company. We could not be more thankful to everyone at AEW in all of their help navigating this tragedy, they’ve been truly phenomenal. Tony Khan is a great man and this business is so lucky to have someone like him. Thank you for lightening our load.

Thank you to all of Ben’s fans for their support over the years, we send you our love and have moved to see so many people say so many wonderful things about his impact on their lives, whether great or small.

We will love you forever, Ben. Our lives will never be the same without you.

Thank you,

The Satterley Family”

Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana and The New Level then make their way to the ring with the Trios Championships.

Austin Creed is in tears as the belts are placed on the canvas, with a PAC towel laid across them. Excalibur explains that nobody has spent more time as a Trios Champion than PAC and says the titles will always be part of his legacy.

Strickland, Nana, Creed and Kofi embrace in the ring.

In another recorded tribute, Ricochet reflects on the feeling that there will always be more time with someone and the importance of appreciating every moment.

He remembers practically living alongside Ben during their Dragon Gate days in Japan and describes him as both an inspiration and a big brother.

Ricochet says stories about Ben always seem to be funny or positive. Wherever they travelled, people had memories of him to share, even when those people had never met one another.

He says there will never be another performer like Ben and expresses his belief that they will see each other again. Ricochet finishes by telling Ben he loves him and that everyone will miss him.

AEW World Champion Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet

Will Ospreay is accompanied by United Empire, while Ricochet arrives with Gates of Agony.

Before the match, Ospreay hugs Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun on the apron. Ricochet embraces Akira, Andrade and Bailey. The two opponents then kneel together in the middle of the ring and share a hug before the bell.

Ospreay flips out of an early cravat and moves into a cazadora. Ricochet counters with a flip of his own, and Ospreay lands on his feet. Ricochet finishes the opening exchange with a backflip and a shotgun dropkick.

A springboard crossbody earns Ricochet two. Ospreay responds with a hurricanrana that sends him outside, then follows with a slingshot crossbody.

Back inside, Ospreay lands several chops. Ricochet flips out of the corner and catches him with an enzuigiri, sending the world champion to the floor. A Fosbury Flop puts Ricochet in control heading into the break.

When the broadcast returns, Ricochet attempts a 450 splash from the barricade. He lands on his feet when Ospreay moves, but his follow-up charge ends with Ospreay throwing him into the barricade with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

Ospreay connects with a handspring corkscrew kick back in the ring, then hits Pip, Pip, Cheerio for a near fall.

The pair trade increasingly heavy chops. Ospreay delivers a Stundog Millionaire, and Ricochet answers with a punt kick.

Ricochet attempts Vertigo, but Ospreay escapes and spikes him with a handspring spinning DDT. Ricochet folds up on impact in a clear tribute to PAC’s familiar selling.

Storm Breaker is countered into a snapping hurricanrana driver for two. Ricochet follows a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker with a Phoenix Splash from the middle rope, earning another close count.

Ospreay attempts an avalanche poison rana, but Ricochet lands on his feet and hits a snap German suplex. A rebound German provides another nod to PAC before Ricochet ducks a buzzsaw kick.

Both men then connect with poison ranas, leaving them down after a rapid exchange.

They slowly get up and trade strikes. Ricochet attempts a cartwheel, only for Ospreay to catch him and turn it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for two.

Ricochet blocks the Hidden Blade and responds with a backslide driver and a Liger Bomb, but Ospreay survives.

Climbing to the top rope, Ricochet delivers PAC’s shooting star Pele kick. A shooting star press follows for another near fall.

Ospreay avoids the Spirit Gun and counters into a double-underhook Styles Clash. Ricochet kicks out again.

The Hidden Blade connects to the back of Ricochet’s head, but Ospreay chooses a different finish. He climbs to the top rope and delivers PAC’s Black Arrow to secure the three-count.

Ospreay breaks down in tears after the bell. Both wrestlers and those at ringside come together for an embrace, with referee Bryce joining them.

Winner: Will Ospreay.

Ospreay’s recorded tribute follows. He remembers practising wrestling moves with his friends after school and posting videos online. People told him that he reminded them of PAC, prompting him to realise this was the same wrestler he had seen facing names such as AJ Styles in 1PW and competing in Dragon Gate.

Watching those matches gave a teenage Ospreay hope that he could follow a similar path. He says PAC’s influence spread far beyond one wrestler, inspiring an entire style and countless performers.

Ospreay explains that wanting to wrestle like PAC was what drove him to pursue a match with him. Away from the character, he remembers a lovely person who brought happiness to those around him.

He says he will miss PAC’s face, his sausage dog and the chance to keep learning from him. Ospreay thanks him for everything he gave to him and so many others.

Marina Shafir, Thunder Rosa and Hyan vs. Mercedes Moné, Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker DMD

Marina Shafir wears a football shirt given to her by PAC, featuring her son’s name. Excalibur also recalls the friendship between PAC and Mercedes Moné from their time in WWE.

Persephone and Hyan open with a series of pinning attempts. Hyan’s shoulder block fails to move the TBS Champion, but a running big boot has more success.

Thunder Rosa tags in and combines with Hyan for a double-team attack. Rosa delivers a headscissors and attempts a sunset flip, but Persephone rolls through and catches her with a low dropkick.

Britt Baker enters to a loud hometown reception. She gets in some early offence against Rosa before tagging Persephone back in.

Persephone attempts a Razor’s Edge, but Hyan comes to Rosa’s aid. Shafir tags in and tears through the opposition, then directs Rosa and Hyan to hit baseball slides on Moné and Baker.

A tiger feint headscissors sends Persephone head-first into the apron as the broadcast heads to a commercial.

Jon Moxley, who accompanied Shafir during her entrance, returns to ringside during the break. Rosa spends much of that period isolated before she and Moné collide with simultaneous clotheslines.

Shafir receives the tag and unloads with thrust kicks. She catches Moné with a double-underhook facebreaker, with commentary reminding viewers about Moné’s broken nose.

The two exchange heavy strikes before Shafir lands a rebound German suplex and a snap suplex. She briefly applies Mother’s Milk, but Persephone intervenes and receives a rebound German of her own.

Baker tags in with a Sling Blade. Hyan follows with a Falcon Arrow, Moné delivers a Backstabber, Rosa connects with a flying dropkick, and Persephone adds a bridging thrust kick.

Shafir is left to fight alone and takes a spear from Persephone, followed by a Curb Stomp from Baker.

Baker gestures towards Moxley, pulls out her glove and prepares to apply Lockjaw. On the floor, Hyan and Rosa take Persephone out of the equation.

Shafir powers back to her feet, spins out of Baker’s attempt and locks in the Brutalizer. Baker submits, giving Shafir another victory in tribute to PAC.

Rosa and Hyan comfort a tearful Shafir after the match. She brings Moxley into the ring, and they share a long embrace.

Winners: Marina Shafir, Thunder Rosa and Hyan, with Shafir submitting Britt Baker.

Swerve Strickland recalls first meeting PAC at a Dragon Gate event at the ECW Arena. He admired his commitment to getting every detail right in the ring.

After getting to know him in AEW, Strickland discovered how quiet Ben could be. When he did speak, however, his words carried weight and could motivate those around him.

Strickland says he already misses him and hopes he knew how loved and appreciated he was throughout wrestling.

Darby Allin then remembers Ben as someone completely devoted to his craft because of his love for professional wrestling.

After hearing the news, Allin watched footage of their time together, including their golf course fight and a flaming table spot.

Allin admits he initially wondered whether Ben would enjoy the golf course setting, only to find him coming up with plenty of ideas for entertaining moments.

He thanks Ben for the wild experiences they shared and imagines the possibility of finding another golf course to fight on in the next life. Until then, he sends his love.

Bryan Danielson and The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Gabe Kidd) vs. The Don Callis Family (Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, Lance Archer, Josh Alexander and Wardlow)

Wardlow’s appearance draws a surprised reaction following the vignette shown at All Out the previous weekend. He joins Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, Lance Archer and Josh Alexander, with Don Callis and Rocky Romero accompanying the team.

Before heading to the ring, the Death Riders gather around the chair holding PAC’s towel. Marina Shafir accompanies Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Gabe Kidd.

Moxley unexpectedly joins commentary, leaving the Death Riders apparently one wrestler short. He tells the commentators to roll with the situation.

The Death Riders’ entrance music starts again before changing to Bryan Danielson’s theme. Danielson emerges as their fifth man, prompting loud “Holy Sh*t” chants.

Moxley says there are moments at a wrestling show when that is the only possible reaction.

The bell brings an immediate brawl. Danielson launches himself from the apron onto Archer as fighting spreads around ringside.

Yuta and Doyle remain inside, with Yuta landing a low dropkick. Outside, Danielson drives kicks into Alexander against the barricade.

Moxley wants his team to force the pace. He jokes that Danielson can be exhausted, provided the five opponents are even more tired.

Doyle slams Garcia down, allowing the Callis Family to isolate him. Moxley shouts encouragement as Garcia struggles against the much larger opposition.

Garcia avoids an Archer charge and tags Kidd, who fires himself up by repeatedly driving his own head into the turnbuckle. Archer gets the better of their exchange, and Alexander enters to keep Kidd trapped in the opposing corner.

Kidd eventually rolls clear and reaches Castagnoli. Castagnoli powers Alexander up into a front suplex across the top rope, allowing Danielson to come down with a diving knee.

Yuta tags in for the Giant Swing and dropkick combination. The cover gets two before the Callis Family rushes in to break it up.

Wardlow delivers a sit-out fireman’s carry driver as the show heads into its final commercial.

Yuta remains under pressure throughout the break. He finally avoids a corner splash from Doyle and lands a shotgun dropkick from the top rope.

Danielson gets the tag to an enormous response. He takes control while Moxley describes the sequence as muscle memory.

Danielson flips out of the corner, lands a flying forearm and looks upwards before delivering a series of kicks to Alexander.

Alexander ducks the final kick and grabs an ankle lock. Danielson counters into the LeBell Lock, but Doyle breaks up the submission.

Garcia attacks Doyle’s leg with a dragon screw. Wardlow enters with a powerbomb, Castagnoli answers with a springboard spinning uppercut, and Davis follows with a spinning lariat from behind.

Kidd throws a rebound German suplex, Archer delivers a fallaway slam, and Yuta takes Archer down with a diving hurricanrana. Yuta prepares to launch outside, but Alexander stops him.

Alexander then hits Danielson with consecutive German suplexes. Danielson lands on his feet to escape a third and responds with a buzzsaw kick.

Garcia and Doyle tag in. Garcia lands a thunderous overhand chop before Wardlow and Davis intervene.

Kidd and Castagnoli try to help but are thrown over the ropes. Danielson and Yuta appear behind the two big men, lead the crowd in Yes chants and deliver simultaneous Busaiku Knees.

Archer takes both men down with a running crossbody. He then grabs Shafir on the apron for a chokeslam, but she counters into an armbar over the top rope.

Castagnoli sends Archer outside and follows with a twisting dive.

Doyle knocks Garcia down with a huge body tackle. Garcia slowly rises in the corner and performs his dance, which Moxley describes as red kryptonite for Doyle.

The Death Riders take turns charging into the corner with clotheslines. Shafir joins the attack to another loud reaction.

Yuta and Danielson launch themselves outside together. Kidd hits Doyle with PAC’s running lariat, and Garcia applies the Dragon Tamer.

Castagnoli adds a Curb Stomp during the closing sequence, with Garcia scoring the deciding fall on Doyle.

Danielson joins the Death Riders for their celebratory huddle. Moxley leaves commentary and enters the ring as the group embraces.

Winners: Bryan Danielson and The Death Riders, with Daniel Garcia scoring the fall on Jake Doyle.

Excalibur asks viewers to hold their loved ones close and tell them how much they mean to them.

A career-spanning tribute video follows, set to Manchester Orchestra’s “I Know How to Speak”. The film celebrates PAC’s work around the world and the memories he leaves with those who wrestled alongside him and watched him perform.

The broadcast ends with one final spotlight on PAC’s chair, with Danielson and the Death Riders standing around it.

Across the evening, the tributes remember both a remarkable wrestler and a much-loved friend. His athleticism, dedication and influence are reflected in the matches, while the stories from his colleagues and family offer a picture of the man behind the character.

From his early performances in PWG and Dragon Gate to his WWE career, Death Triangle’s battles with The Elite and his work with the Death Riders, PAC leaves a collection of matches and moments that fans will continue to revisit.

“Throw your heart out in front of you and run ahead to catch it.”

Rest in peace, Benjamin Satterley.
