Police investigating the death of AEW wrestler PAC say they have found no signs of foul play.
The Des Plaines Police Department told TMZ that investigators do not believe criminal activity was involved in the death of Benjamin Satterley, who was 40. His cause and manner of death remain pending further examination by the medical examiner.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office previously confirmed to TMZ that an autopsy had been completed. Additional testing could take several weeks.
Satterley was found unresponsive in a car outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, at around 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 27.
According to a witness who spoke to the California Post, customers called 911 after noticing him inside the vehicle. Some also went into the restaurant to look for medical equipment before paramedics arrived.
The medical examiner’s office recorded his time of death as 4:08 p.m.
Just the night before, PAC had competed at AEW All Out at the NOW Arena in nearby Hoffman Estates. He challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship and later appeared during the main event between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
AEW announced his death on Sunday night.
With further medical findings still pending, police have not announced a cause of death.
