Former WWE talent Sirena Linton has officially embarked on the next chapter of her professional wrestling career by making an unannounced appearance for Ring Of Honor.
According to a report by Andrew Ravens, the former collegiate athlete surfaced during Monday's Ring Of Honor television tapings hosted at the WJCT Studios located in Jacksonville, Florida. Upon her arrival, Sirena Linton issued a direct challenge to the reigning Ring Of Honor Women's World Champion Athena, stepping straight into a Proving Ground contest.
In a Proving Ground format, an aspiring contender must either defeat the current titleholder or survive until the time limit expires in order to secure a guaranteed future championship match. Reports from the venue confirm that Sirena Linton ultimately suffered a defeat against Athena, helping to reinforce the dominant championship run of the current titleholder. The televised broadcast featuring the match has not yet aired to the public.
This high profile appearance marks Sirena Linton's first major step back into the spotlight following her departure from WWE earlier this spring. She was included in a widespread roster reduction in April that saw more than twenty performers released from their contracts.
Confirming her departure on May 2, Sirena Linton reflected on the transition via an emotional statement published on social media. "It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share I was part of the 20+ mass departures from WWE," she stated to her followers.
In the months following her exit, Sirena Linton kept details regarding her professional future under wraps. During a recent interactive question and answer session hosted on her personal YouTube channel, supporters attempted to probe into whether she intended to sign with All Elite Wrestling or Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Sirena Linton offered a playful yet mysterious response to the speculation.
"Will you be going to AEW or TNA? You’ll just have to tune in," she teased during the broadcast, giving no explicit confirmation prior to her unexpected arrival in Jacksonville.
Before entering the professional wrestling industry, Sirena Linton established an impressive athletic legacy in collegiate sports. She secured 2022 Second Team All American honors on the balance beam while playing an instrumental role in guiding the University of Arkansas gymnastics team to the NCAA national championships. Her transition to sports entertainment began in 2023 when she earned a spot in WWE's Next In Line collegiate recruitment initiative after actively pitching her talent online. Following extensive training at the WWE Performance Center, she made her formal in ring debut on January 14, 2025, and subsequently made appearances on the digital series WWE LFG.
