Triple H has shared a heartfelt tribute to Ben Satterley, remembering the wrestler known as PAC and Neville for both his extraordinary ability and his kindness outside the ring.

AEW announced Satterley’s passing on September 27, just one day after he faced Andrade El Idolo at All Out. Tributes have since poured in from across the wrestling world.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer posted a photograph of himself with Neville following his NXT Championship victory at NXT Arrival, reflecting on the important role he played in the brand’s early years.

“Saddened to hear about the death of Ben Satterley known in WWE as Neville. I had the pleasure of working with Ben in the early days of NXT.

“This moment, from NXT Arrival, marked the beginning of a new era for that brand and the men and women on it … and Ben was a major force behind that.

“He was an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans across the world.”

Paul Heyman also shared an emotional message following the news.

“Oh no.

“No no no no no no no.

“What a tremendous talent and even finer human being. My most profound condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!”

Kevin Owens, The Miz, Danhausen and Becky Lynch were among the other WWE stars to pay their respects.

Satterley helped establish NXT’s reputation for outstanding wrestling, becoming the brand’s fourth NXT Champion when he defeated Bo Dallas in a ladder match at NXT Arrival in February 2014. The show was the first WWE event streamed live on the WWE Network.

His reign lasted 286 days before Sami Zayn captured the championship at NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution.

After moving to WWE’s main roster in early 2015, Neville continued to deliver memorable performances. His narrow escape from victory against Seth Rollins on the August 3, 2015 episode of Raw remains a particularly fond memory for fans who thought they were about to witness a stunning championship upset.

His WWE achievements also included two NXT Tag Team Championship reigns, the 2015 Slammy Award for Breakout Star of the Year and two reigns as WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

Satterley officially departed WWE in August 2018 and returned to competing internationally, including appearances for Dragon Gate. In January 2019, he was unveiled as one of AEW’s first signings.

Performing as PAC, he added more championship success to his career, becoming the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion and a two-time AEW World Trios Champion.

From his influential NXT run to his achievements in AEW, Satterley leaves fans with a wealth of unforgettable moments.
