Tributes have poured in from across the wrestling world following the announcement that PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, has died at the age of 40.

AEW announced the news on Sunday, just one night after he competed at All Out in Chicago. No further details surrounding his death were available at the time of the announcement.

Wrestlers from across AEW, WWE and beyond have shared memories of PAC, remembering both his remarkable ability in the ring and the kindness he showed behind the scenes.

Will Ospreay paid tribute to his former opponent, describing him as “the greatest export from our country and also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”

Mustafa Ali shared an emotional message about the support PAC gave his fellow cruiserweights during their time together in WWE.

“Long live the King. Ben protected and took care of the cruiserweight brothers every week. I will never forget his kindness. I will never forget the feeling of realizing he is the absolute best all around performer I have been in the ring with. I will never forget him standing up to the machine. I will never forget our King.”

Rhea Ripley expressed her shock at the news.

“What a tragic day. What an extremely talented person. Speechless…RIP PAC.”

Paul Heyman also remembered PAC for the person he was outside the ring.

“Oh no. No no no no no no no.What a tremendous talent and even finer human being. My most profound condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!”

Saraya sent her love to his family, friends and the fans who followed his career.

“F*ck man.. this is terrible. For everyone that knew Ben (pac) would tell you what an incredible human he was. Truly one of the best. This is heartbreaking.. sending so much love to his family and everyone else who was lucky enough to know him personally and to all who got to watch him perform and witness the greatness that was that man.”

Nick Wayne offered a touching account of the encouragement PAC gave him. Recalling PAC’s match against Ospreay at All Out 2024, Wayne said he approached him afterwards and told him:

“That was very inspiring for someone like me to watch, I hope to one day be as good as you, man.”

PAC smiled, thanked him and replied:

“Awh Nick, you’re gonna be better than me someday.”

Wayne explained how much that support continued to mean to him.

“For the next 2 years, the conversations, advice, and positive thoughts going into things is something I always cherished. To have someone that inspired me so heavily have so much belief in me, I almost couldn’t believe that it was HIM saying these thing to me. PAC is one of the greatest innovators and Professional Wrestlers to ever do it.”

Kevin Owens, Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Mason Rook, Danhausen, Shingo Takagi and El Desperado were also among those who paid tribute.

Messages were shared by Taz, RJ City, Rush, Josh Alexander, Christopher Daniels and Kyle Fletcher, alongside wrestling organisations including CMLL and MLW.
