Kazuchika Okada Retains AEW International Championship Against Tommaso Ciampa at All Out: Chicago

Kazuchika Okada survived a hard-fought challenge from Tommaso Ciampa at All Out: Chicago, retaining the AEW International Championship after taking the former world champion to his limit.

The match began with both competitors carefully avoiding each other's signature offense, leading to a methodical and physical opening exchange.

Ciampa appeared to seize control when he connected with a knee strike on the apron. However, Don Callis provided a crucial distraction, allowing Okada to recover and regain control of the match.

Okada later took the fight to ringside, where he hit Ciampa with a DDT directly in front of Ciampa's family. The champion then taunted Tommaso's daughter by flipping her off, only for her to fire back with a double middle-finger gesture of her own.

The match became even more chaotic when Callis distracted the referee and Okada attempted to strike Ciampa with a screwdriver. Ciampa managed to stop the champion before countering a Rainmaker attempt with a knee strike that nearly ended the match.

Ciampa continued to push Okada in the closing stages, even attempting to use the Rainmaker against the champion. Okada, however, avoided the maneuver and immediately answered with a dropkick.

The champion then connected with the Emerald Flowsion before setting up for his signature Rainmaker. Okada delivered the devastating clothesline and covered Ciampa for the three-count.

Kazuchika Okada therefore retained the AEW International Championship, extending his reign to 28 days.

Okada captured the championship at All In: London by winning a three-way match against Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. With his latest successful defense, Okada remains the AEW International Champion heading out of All Out: Chicago.
