Andrade El Idolo Survives PAC, Retains AEW National Championship at All Out: Chicago

Andrade El Idolo successfully defended the AEW National Championship against PAC at AEW All Out: Chicago, surviving a furious challenge from The Death Riders member to keep his title reign alive.

The National Championship match opened the All Out: Chicago pay-per-view, with PAC immediately bringing the fight to the defending champion. PAC connected with a bounce-back German suplex early in the contest, but Andrade quickly answered with Dia De Los Muertos, dropping PAC and nearly scoring the victory.

Andrade later attempted to show respect by offering PAC a handshake, but the challenger rejected the gesture and responded with a kick.

The champion began building momentum after sending PAC crashing into the barricade. When Marina Shafir attempted to get involved, Andrade sidestepped her, sending Shafir tumbling into the front row.

Andrade continued his offensive surge with Three Amigos and a Tornillo to the floor. However, a bizarre ringside distraction changed the momentum. As Andrade approached a female fan for a selfie, Shafir appeared from behind and choked the fan, allowing PAC to regain control.

PAC capitalized by hitting Andrade with a Moonsault before following with a 450 Splash for a near fall. The challenger then connected with a top-rope Hurricanrana, but Andrade recovered and countered with another Dia De Los Muertos.

PAC managed to escape to the outside, setting up a chaotic closing stretch.

Andrade attempted another Dia De Los Muertos, but Shafir climbed onto the ring apron and distracted the champion. PAC took advantage, striking Andrade with a Poison Rana before locking in The Brutalizer.

Just when it appeared the National Championship was about to change hands, Andrade found a way out. The champion quickly stacked PAC into a pinning combination and scored the three-count to retain the title.

With the victory, Andrade El Idolo's AEW National Championship reign now stands at 63 days. Andrade captured the championship from Mark Davis at the inaugural Redemption pay-per-view in July 2026.

PAC delivered a tremendous challenge, but Andrade once again escaped with the National Championship still around his waist.
