Penta made the most of an unexpected opportunity on WWE Raw, defeating Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio to secure his place in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

The main event changed after 946 abducted Solo Sikoa backstage, leaving Penta to take his spot. He now joins Trick Williams, Bron Breakker and Je’Von Evans in the ladder match.

Penta and Lee initially cleared Mysterio out of the ring before turning their attention to each other. The action quickly spilled to the floor, with Penta taking out both opponents with a tope con hilo before Lee answered with a dive of his own.

Lee attempted a Styles Clash on Mysterio, only for Penta to interrupt with a superkick. A battle around the turnbuckles followed, with Lee delivering a double stomp to Mysterio before Penta sent Lee into the corner. A frantic exchange eventually left all three men down.

Mysterio briefly took control, but Lee fought back and sent Penta to the outside with a flying hurricanrana. When Lee tried to follow up with a cannonball dive, Mysterio intercepted him with a 619.

Penta then raised his knees to block Mysterio’s frog splash. Lee capitalised with a Styles Clash on Mysterio and came close to victory, but Penta broke up the pin at the last moment.

After hitting Lee with a Mexican Destroyer on the apron, Penta was caught by Mysterio’s 619 and frog splash. Even that combination was not enough to keep him down.

Mysterio’s next move proved costly. He removed a top turnbuckle pad, but Penta sent him crashing into the exposed corner before landing a springboard Mexican Destroyer to seal the win.
