WWE Monday Night Raw made its long-awaited return to Mexico City on Monday night, delivering a loaded show highlighted by championship matches, Money in the Bank qualifying bouts, and several major developments heading toward the next Premium Live Event.

The biggest match of the night saw World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defend his championship against Penta in front of a raucous Mexican crowd. Meanwhile, Chad Gable put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dragon Lee, while Je'Von Evans and Lola Vice earned their spots in the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches.

Stephanie Vaquer Celebrates Her Championship Victory

The show opened with Rey Mysterio welcoming the passionate Mexico City crowd to Raw. Rey was soon joined by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, who helped celebrate Stephanie Vaquer's recent victory over Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship in Santiago, Chile.

Vaquer came to the ring to a tremendous ovation and celebrated winning the championship in her home country.

Her celebration was interrupted by Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan accused Vaquer of being a hypocrite and claimed she had been robbed of her championship. Dominik then turned his attention toward his father, Rey Mysterio, before bringing up his loss of the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemanía.

The situation escalated when the newly crowned AAA Mega Champion El Grande Americano appeared.

Adam Pearce ultimately made a mixed tag team match official.

Stephanie Vaquer & El Grande Americano def. Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio via Disqualification

The match featured plenty of back-and-forth action, with Vaquer and Morgan continuing their rivalry while Americano battled Dominik.

Just as Vaquer and Americano were preparing to hit simultaneous Frog Splashes, The Judgment Day , including Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez and JD McDonagh , stormed the ring.

The attack resulted in a disqualification.

Following the match, The Judgment Day continued their assault on Vaquer, Americano and Rey Mysterio, with Dominik finishing the beatdown by hitting a Frog Splash on his father.

The Judgment Day stood tall to close the opening segment.

Je'Von Evans Qualifies for Money in the Bank

The first men's Money in the Bank qualifier featured World Tag Team Champion Austin Theory, Je'Von Evans and Big Cass.

Theory attempted to manipulate Evans into working together against Cass, but the alliance immediately fell apart.

The match quickly turned into a chaotic Triple Threat, with Evans showcasing his speed and athleticism against the power of Cass and Theory.

Theory's associate Maxxine Dupri repeatedly attempted to help him, including preventing Cass from securing a victory.

In the closing moments, Evans avoided Cass's offense before connecting with the OG Cutter, pinning Big Cass.

Je'Von Evans won the match and qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

He joins Bron Breakker as the first two confirmed men's participants.

Chad Gable Retains the Intercontinental Championship

One of the night's standout matches saw Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable defend against Dragon Lee.

The match was a technical showcase, with both competitors mixing wrestling fundamentals with Dragon Lee's high-flying offense.

Lee produced one of the night's biggest moments when he launched himself through the ropes and crashed into Gable at ringside.

The two continued trading near falls, with Gable surviving a Sit-Out Powerbomb and Dragon Lee escaping several dangerous submissions.

Gable eventually trapped Lee in the Ankle Lock once again.

Despite desperately attempting to escape, Lee had nowhere to go and ultimately tapped out.

Chad Gable defeated Dragon Lee to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Following the match, Gable immediately checked on Lee and offered him a handshake before embracing his challenger.

Lola Vice Punches Her Ticket to Money in the Bank

The women's Money in the Bank qualifier featured Women's Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez, NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan and Raw debutant Lola Vice.

The Triple Threat quickly became a showcase of three very different styles.

Rodriguez relied on her size and power, Jordan used her athleticism and aerial offense, while Vice repeatedly utilized her striking and submission background.

Jordan came close to victory after hitting a Frog Splash, while Rodriguez nearly put the match away with a Tejana Bomb.

Vice ultimately capitalized on the chaos.

She caught Rodriguez with a roll-up and secured the three-count.

Lola Vice defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Kelani Jordan to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Vice joins Sol Ruca and the other competitors who will qualify over the coming weeks.

The Bloodline and 946 Continue Their War

A new video package furthered the ongoing rivalry between The Bloodline and 946.

Royce Keys, formerly known as Powerhouse Hobbs, joined Bronco Nima and Lucien Price in sending another warning to The Bloodline.

Backstage, The Usos and Jacob Fatu discussed the threat.

Fatu emphasized that 946's strategy appeared to be isolating Roman Reigns by picking off members of The Bloodline one at a time.

The group agreed that they needed to remain united and protect their Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns Retains the World Heavyweight Championship

The night culminated with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defending against Penta.

Penta received a massive home-country reception, complete with an elaborate entrance and tremendous crowd support.

Reigns entered to his usual chorus of boos before the two finally squared off.

The opening minutes featured a deliberate pace as both competitors tested each other.

Penta eventually shifted his focus toward Reigns' right arm and wrist, creating a significant problem for the champion.

The challenger repeatedly attacked the injury and nearly pulled off the upset with a Mexican Destroyer.

Reigns survived and eventually regained control.

The champion then demanded that the Mexico City crowd acknowledge him, only to receive an overwhelming wave of boos.

Penta continued fighting back, hitting multiple Superkicks and a Springboard Mexican Destroyer for another near fall.

The two men eventually traded strikes in the center of the ring.

Penta landed another Superkick, but Reigns answered with a Superman Punch.

Moments later, Reigns connected with the Spear.

The champion covered Penta and secured the three-count.

Roman Reigns defeated Penta to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

The victory allowed Reigns to survive another major challenge, while Penta once again proved that he can compete at the highest level.
