Stephanie Vaquer will arrive on WWE Raw as the new Women’s World Champion, with a celebration confirmed for Monday’s show in Mexico City.
Vaquer captured the championship from Liv Morgan at Saturday’s live event in Santiago, Chile, giving fans in her home country a memorable title change.
The rematch was arranged after a controversial finish on last week’s Raw. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez interfered to help Morgan, and Becky Lynch’s attempt to even the odds was not enough. Morgan struck Vaquer with the championship belt before securing the pinfall.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce subsequently announced another title match in Santiago, appointing Lynch as the special guest referee.
Vaquer made the most of that opportunity, landing the sky twister press to defeat Morgan. Despite recent tension between Lynch and Vaquer, Lynch handed the new champion her title after the match.
Vaquer’s celebration joins a busy September 14 edition of Raw, with two championship matches and two Money in the Bank qualifiers also announced:
World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns defends against Penta.
Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable defends against Dragon Lee.
Men’s Money in the Bank qualifier: Je’Von Evans vs. Big Cass vs. Austin Theory.
Women’s Money in the Bank qualifier: Kelani Jordan vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Lola Vice.
New Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer appears.
