Stephanie Vaquer enjoyed a memorable homecoming on Saturday night, reclaiming the WWE Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan in Santiago, Chile.

Competing in her home country, Vaquer secured the victory with a sky twister press. Special guest referee Becky Lynch counted the pinfall before raising the new champion’s hand. The pair exchanged words and shared a hug as Vaquer celebrated her title win.

The result brings the championship back to Vaquer after Morgan defeated her at WrestleMania 42.

Their rivalry resumed when Vaquer returned to Raw the night after SummerSlam and made it clear she wanted another title opportunity. Lynch also returned that evening, putting herself in contention for a championship match.

Vaquer received her WrestleMania rematch on Monday’s Raw, but interference from The Judgment Day helped Morgan retain. Despite Lynch supporting Vaquer at ringside, Roxanne Perez passed Morgan the championship belt, which she used to strike her challenger before landing Oblivion for the win.

That controversial finish prompted Adam Pearce to announce another title match for the Chile live event, with Lynch appointed special guest referee. The match was confirmed on social media on Friday.

This time, Vaquer left with the championship, giving the crowd in her home country a special moment to celebrate.
