Stephanie Vaquer will get another chance to capture the Women’s World Championship when WWE heads to her hometown of Santiago, Chile.
Adam Pearce announced on Friday that Liv Morgan will defend the title against Vaquer at Saturday’s live event. Becky Lynch will serve as special guest referee, adding another intriguing element to an already heated rivalry.
The decision follows the controversial ending to Monday’s Raw title match, where interference from The Judgment Day helped Morgan retain.
Vaquer was on the top rope when Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez became involved. Lynch arrived to attack Rodriguez, but Perez used the distraction to pass Morgan the championship belt. Morgan struck Vaquer with it before hitting Oblivion to secure the victory.
That bout was Vaquer’s long-awaited rematch from WrestleMania 42. Since returning on the Raw after SummerSlam, she has made reclaiming the championship her priority.
However, Lynch returned that same night and has also demanded a title opportunity. Their shared ambition has created tension, making Lynch’s role as referee particularly significant as Vaquer prepares to challenge in front of her hometown crowd.
