AAA TripleMania 34 opened in Las Vegas with championship action, a new contender crowned and a dramatic main event between Rey Mysterio and Omos.

Omos’ future in AAA was on the line against the promotion’s General Manager. A victory would secure his reinstatement, while defeat would see him banned permanently.

Elsewhere, La Parka defended the AAA Latin American Championship, Los Psycho Circus put their trios titles on the line and Roxanne Perez competed for a championship opportunity at Worlds Collide.

The show opened with footage of the wrestlers arriving, followed by Mysterio reflecting on TripleMania’s history. Corey Graves and JBL called the action from ringside.

Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match: Mascarita Sagrada, Mini Vikingo & Adelicious vs. Jack Cartwheel, Mini Abismo Negro & Lady Shani

The opening contest suffered an early setback when Lady Shani appeared to hurt herself during an exchange with Adelicious. The referee checked on her before medical staff provided assistance outside the ring. She did not return to the match.

Mascarita Sagrada and Mini Abismo Negro renewed their long-running rivalry before Mini Vikingo and Jack Cartwheel brought a burst of aerial offence.

Cartwheel and Negro isolated Vikingo, using quick tags and double-team attacks to keep him under pressure. Vikingo eventually escaped and brought in Sagrada, who connected with a crossbody before Cartwheel interrupted the cover.

Sagrada followed with a brainbuster on Cartwheel, while Vikingo later landed a crucifix driver. The action spilled outside, where Adelicious and Vikingo launched themselves onto their opponents.

Vikingo finished the match with a shooting star press on Negro to secure the opening victory.

Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Elimination Match: Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) vs. Los Americanos (Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano) vs. Tokyo Bad Boys (Kento & Takuma) vs The LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)

Four teams competed in an elimination match intended to help establish the next challengers for the War Raiders.

The opening exchanges quickly gave way to a frantic sequence of dives and double-team moves. Cruz Del Toro connected with a coast-to-coast dropkick on Nathan Frazer, but Axiom broke up the resulting pin attempt.

The LWO’s challenge unravelled when Joaquin Wilde accidentally sprayed Del Toro with hairspray intended for Frazer. Axiom capitalised to secure the elimination, leaving Wilde and Del Toro arguing as they headed up the ramp.

Tokyo Bad Boys then took control for a spell, but Takuma’s shooting star press met Frazer’s knees. A later sequence involving Fraxiom and Los Americanos ended with Tokyo Bad Boys becoming the second team eliminated.

Fraxiom and Los Americanos traded increasingly close near falls in the final stretch. Frazer survived a top-rope hurricanrana and splash combination, while Rayo broke up a pin after Axiom’s Spanish Fly and Frazer’s Phoenix Splash.

Bravo eventually caught Frazer with a diving headbutt, allowing Rayo to make the decisive cover.

Match Result: Los Americanos defeated Fraxiom, Tokyo Bad Boys and The LWO

Following the match, AAA announced that company president Marisela Pena will enter the AAA Hall of Fame in October.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match: Nattie vs. Faby Apache vs. La Hiedra vs. Roxanne Perez

With champion Flammer watching from ringside, four competitors battled for a Reina de Reinas Championship opportunity at Worlds Collide. The match also marked Faby Apache’s 21st TripleMania appearance.

Early pin attempts produced no winner before the fight spread outside. Perez pulled Apache from the ring and sent her into the steel steps, only for Nattie to give Perez the same treatment moments later.

Back inside, the action featured a series of overlapping submissions. Apache and Nattie applied simultaneous surfboards, while another exchange saw several competitors tied up in holds at once.

Perez trapped Apache in a crossface, but Apache powered her way out. La Hiedra broke up another pin attempt with a senton before delivering a flapjack to Perez and a stunner to Nattie.

Nattie later caught Perez in a Sharpshooter, only for Apache to intervene.

The finish came after Hiedra connected with a Michinoku driver on Perez. Flammer entered with her championship belt and attempted to strike Perez, who moved out of the way. Flammer narrowly avoided hitting Hiedra instead.

Perez took advantage of the confusion, hitting Pop Rocks on Hiedra to claim the victory and secure her title opportunity.

Backstage, El Grande Americano promised to support Rey Mysterio in the main event. Mysterio reflected on his connection to TripleMania and expressed confidence that his heart would help him overcome Omos.

AAA Latin American Championship Triple Threat Match: La Parka (c) vs. Mr. Iguana vs. Laredo Kid

Mr. Iguana’s request for a title opportunity led to a three-way meeting with Laredo Kid and his friend, reigning champion La Parka. When the match was arranged, La Parka had told Iguana, “we need to talk.”

Any friendship had to compete with the desire to leave TripleMania as champion.

La Parka and Iguana briefly worked together against Laredo, but the alliances repeatedly shifted. La Parka delivered a moonsault from the ring post onto both opponents, while Laredo later answered with his own dive to the floor.

Laredo connected with a 450 splash on Iguana for a near fall. La Parka then landed a backstabber on Laredo, but that was also insufficient to finish the match.

One of the biggest moments came when La Parka joined both challengers on the turnbuckles and delivered a double Spanish Fly.

More near falls followed, including Iguana landing a diving headbutt and Get Green slam before La Parka interrupted the cover.

Tension between La Parka and Iguana eventually boiled over into a shoving exchange. During the closing sequence, Laredo lifted Iguana onto his shoulders and La Parka flew in to complete a Doomsday Device.

La Parka then struck Laredo with the Bonebreaker and pinned him to retain his championship.

Match Result: La Parka defeated Mr. Iguana and Laredo Kid

AAA World Trios Championship Match: Los Psycho Circus (Dave The Clown, Murder Clown & Psycho Clown) (c) vs. Los Perros del Mal (Daga, Angel & Berto) w/ Karmen Petrovic

Psycho Clown stepped in for Panic Clown, who had not been medically cleared, as Los Psycho Circus defended against Daga, Angel and Berto.

Los Perros del Mal attacked aggressively from the start, but the champions responded with their own teamwork. The challengers eventually isolated Dave The Clown, targeting his leg and preventing him from reaching his corner.

Dave finally created an opening with a powerbomb on Berto and tagged Murder Clown, who powered through the opposition. His comeback included carrying Daga and Angel together for a double Samoan drop.

Psycho Clown joined the attack before Murder launched himself from the turnbuckles onto all three challengers outside.

The match changed when El Carnicero appeared and attacked Dave. Psycho chased him through the crowd ahead of their scheduled Street Fight on Sunday, leaving his partners to continue without him.

Murder nearly secured the win with a superplex on Daga, but Berto broke up the cover. Karmen Petrovic then distracted from the apron, and Berto drove Dave through the ringside barricade.

With Murder left vulnerable, Angel delivered a powerbomb and Daga followed with a top-rope double stomp to secure the titles.

Match Result: Los Perros del Mal defeated Los Psycho Circus to win the AAA World Trios Championship

Match to determine if Omos will get reinstated or leave AAA forever: AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio w/ El Grande American0 vs. Omos w/ Dorian Roldan & AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio

Rey Mysterio attempted to use speed and movement against Omos, targeting the giant’s legs and avoiding his reach during the opening moments.

Omos soon took control with his strength. When Rey attempted a dive outside, Omos caught him and drove him into the barricade before throwing him back into the ring over the top rope.

Rey struggled through corner attacks, slams and bear hugs before finally bringing Omos towards the ropes with repeated strikes. When Omos became tangled, Rey seized the opportunity to attack.

Dominik pulled his father out of the ring and reached for a chair, but El Grande Americano intervened and speared him across the announce table.

An accidental collision took out the referee, allowing Rey to use a chair against Omos. He followed with a hurricanrana and a series of 619 attacks, eventually bringing the giant down far enough to connect with one to the face.

A top-rope splash earned Rey a two-count, but he could not finish the job.

Outside, Dominik struck Americano with a chair. Inside, Omos stopped Rey with a big boot before delivering a chokeslam for the victory and his reinstatement to AAA.

Match Result: Omos defeated Rey Mysterio

The attack continued after the bell, with Omos dropping elbows on Rey while Dominik struck Americano again.

Medical personnel brought a backboard into the ring to assist Mysterio, but Omos returned and cleared the announce table. He removed Rey’s neck brace before chokeslamming him through the table while he was still on the backboard.

Even Dominik and Dorian Roldan appeared taken aback as TripleMania’s opening night ended with Rey laid out.
