Bayley is reportedly close to securing a new WWE contract, with her return to Raw suggesting the company is confident she will stay.

Speculation over her future has continued for months, fuelled partly by her friend Mercedes Mone teasing the possibility of the pair reuniting in AEW. However, the latest report points towards Bayley remaining with WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bayley had largely agreed to terms several weeks ago. Although she has yet to sign, WWE is reportedly expecting the deal to be completed.

“The other big story was the return of Bayley. Bayley had pretty much agreed to terms a few weeks ago, when they started mentioning her on television. She has not signed a new deal but that is expected to happen. But obviously they believe strongly enough that she will that they brought her back.”

Bayley returned on Monday’s Raw for her first television appearance since July, immediately reigniting her rivalry with former tag team partner Lyra Valkyria.

She cost Valkyria the chance to qualify for Money in the Bank, allowing Sol Ruca to capitalise and secure the pinfall victory.

While a new contract remains unsigned, the report suggests WWE is already moving forward with Bayley as part of its plans.
