WWE’s return to Hawaii could mark the beginning of a more regular presence in the islands, with Triple H making it clear the company has plans beyond next month’s visit.

WWE will hold two live events at Honolulu’s Blaisdell Arena on October 16 and 17, marking its first shows in Hawaii since 2019. A two-day talent tryout will also take place at the venue ahead of the shows.

Speaking to KHON2 News, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said the return has generated plenty of excitement among the roster.

“It’s going to be amazing. We haven’t been there since 2019,” Levesque said. “I can tell you that every superstar in the WWE has been calling asking us to be on this card. They’re chomping at the bit to get there to Hawaii. This is exciting for us, and this isn’t a one-time deal. We’re not just coming there now, we’re going to be coming there on a regular basis. We’re going to make sure that we have our feet back [on] the ground in Hawaii, where they always should’ve been, where our roots are. That’s why we are looking for that next generation too. We want to ensure that the Pacific Islands remain a home for us for years to come.”

Levesque highlighted Hawaii’s place in WWE history through names including The Rock, Peter Maivia and Don Muraco. He also pointed to the continuing influence of the Pacific Islands through Roman Reigns, The Usos and Nia Jax.

Finding the next generation is another priority for the trip. WWE previously recruited potential prospects at the 2026 Hawaii Fit Expo and will now give aspiring talent an opportunity to impress at the upcoming tryout.

Levesque explained that athleticism, desire and drive all matter, but charisma is the quality WWE particularly wants to see. The company is searching for someone who is “not your traditional next-door neighbor.”

The second Honolulu show was added following “popular demand” for tickets to the October 16 event. Advertised names include The Usos, Jacob Fatu, Oba Femi, Liv Morgan, Sol Ruca and Seth Rollins.

Although no further Hawaii dates have been announced, Levesque’s comments suggest WWE sees October’s visit as the start of a lasting commitment.
