Keith Lee has returned to social media after almost a year away, but his latest post has left fans with questions about his life outside wrestling.
The former WWE and AEW star shared a photograph with Darius J. Wright on X and Instagram, promoting Wright’s website and YouTube channel. Lee did not address his wrestling future or provide an update on a possible return to the ring.
Wright describes himself as a “consciousness explorer” who is “able to step beyond the physical body and witness the realms that exist outside this construct.”
He promotes a method called AYDA, short for Awaken Your Dormant Abilities, and describes his mission as follows:
“My mission is to awaken the consciousness of this realm, guiding each soul to remember its eternal nature, its origin, and the home it has forgotten. The Great Work is the path of awakening to the other side and awakening the dormant abilities that we all have within us.”
Wright also claims that the pyramids of Ancient Egypt were used for energy, transportation and storing knowledge. These are his stated beliefs.
Lee’s association with Wright prompted a mixture of supportive messages and concern in the comments. Some fans urged the wrestler to turn to those closest to him.
“Keith man, there are a lot of people who care about you,” one fan wrote. “Go to one of them, do not resign yourself to a cult.”
That comment reflects the fan’s concern and does not establish that Wright’s organisation is a cult. Lee’s post did not explain the extent of their association.
Lee last wrestled in December 2023, with an injury initially keeping him out of AEW action. In June 2025, he said his health had been good for “quite some time.”
Bryan Alvarez reported this summer that the belief within the wrestling industry was that Lee was likely retired. However, Lee has not confirmed that speculation, and his latest post offered no further clarity.
The wrestler has faced several difficult experiences in recent years, including a life-threatening bout with COVID in 2021 and the loss of one of his best friends in 2024.
In July, WWE star Mia Yim, whose real name is Stephanie Bell, confirmed that she and Lee had divorced. She said they remained friends and still had nothing but love for each other.
For now, Lee’s wrestling future remains uncertain, while fans continue to send their support.
