Myles Borne has promised to apologise to Tavion Heights face-to-face on next week’s WWE NXT as he tries to repair the damage caused by his betrayal at Heatwave.

Borne made the commitment during the September 8 episode after Hank Walker and Tank Ledger challenged him backstage over how he had handled the situation with his former tag team partner.

The tension began at Heatwave on August 30, when Borne and Heights lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to members of The Vanity Project. Borne also lost his NXT North American Championship at the event.

Following the tag team defeat, Borne took out his frustration on Heights, blindsiding him with a Borne Again slam. Heights later said the betrayal made him feel as though he had “lost a brother.”

On September 8, Heights attempted to get back on track by challenging Jackson Drake for the NXT North American Championship. Despite a determined effort, he fell short when Drake secured the victory with a 450 Splash.

Borne approached the ring after the match, briefly drawing a positive reaction from Heights. However, the mood soon changed, and Heights walked away, leaving his former partner watching from the ring.

Backstage, Walker and Ledger told Borne that his earlier social media apology had not been enough. Borne admitted he had made a mistake and insisted he had already tried to apologise, but the pair urged him to look Heights in the eyes and say it properly.

They also pointed out that approaching Heights immediately after another championship defeat was poor timing.

Borne agreed to give Heights some space before making a public, face-to-face apology on next week’s show. Whether Heights will be willing to hear him out remains to be seen.
