Liv Morgan Survives Stephanie Vaquer and Retains Women’s World Championship on WWE Raw
It took the entire Judgment Day, but Liv Morgan is still the Women’s World Champion.
Morgan successfully defended her title against former champion Stephanie Vaquer on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez becoming major factors throughout the nearly 18-minute championship bout.
Morgan and Vaquer traded signature offense throughout the match, with Vaquer delivering two Devil’s Kisses during the contest. One of those devastating maneuvers even took place on the commentary desk as the former champion attempted to regain control of the match.
As the bout reached its closing moments, Rodriguez attempted to intervene on Morgan’s behalf, but she was quickly removed from ringside.
That still didn't stop the interference.
Becky Lynch made her way to ringside and took out Rodriguez before turning her attention toward Perez. Lynch chased Perez away, but Perez managed to get one final assist in before leaving, sliding Morgan the Women’s World Championship.
With the referee distracted, Morgan used the championship as a weapon, striking Vaquer with the title before hitting Oblivion to secure the three-count.
Morgan's victory extends her current Women’s World Championship reign to 143 days. She originally captured the championship from Vaquer at WrestleMania 42, and Monday’s match marked just the second defense of her reign.
Vaquer came within seconds of reclaiming the championship, but Morgan once again found a way to survive.
With Morgan continuing to rely heavily on Judgment Day to retain her title, the question now becomes: Who can finally stop Liv Morgan?
