WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event Results - September 6, 2026

WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event took place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 6, 2026. Trick Williams captured the United States Championship, while Bronson Reed returned during Bron Breakker’s clash with Oba Femi.

The broadcast opened with arena footage, a video preview and the arrivals of several competitors. Quavo performed before Trick Williams gave Lil Yachty a backstage pep talk. Baron Corbin then arrived on a motorcycle for the opening match.

Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty (Five Minute Challenge)

Lil Yachty needed to survive five minutes against Corbin to earn Trick Williams a United States Championship match later in the evening.

Before the bell, Corbin offered Yachty a chance to withdraw, reminding him that his friends and family were watching in his hometown. Yachty responded with a punch, starting the match.

Yachty attempted a quick schoolboy pin before escaping to ringside to run down the clock. Corbin caught him and threw him into the barricade, then cleared the announce desk. Members of Yachty’s entourage helped him into the crowd, but Corbin attacked them and threw them back over the barricade.

With around three minutes remaining, Yachty struck Corbin with the Trick Stick. He continued using the kendo stick inside the ring until Corbin cut him off. Two members of Yachty’s entourage attempted to help, only to receive Deep Six and End of Days.

Yachty fought back with a boot in the corner, an avalanche Frankensteiner and a diving crossbody for a near fall. Corbin then hit End of Days with approximately 90 seconds left, but chose to deliver grounded punches instead of attempting a pin.

A second End of Days followed before Corbin brought a table into the ring. He positioned Yachty on the turnbuckles, but Yachty delivered a low blow with five seconds remaining and survived until time expired.

Result: Lil Yachty survived the five-minute limit, earning Trick Williams a United States Championship match.

Corbin slammed Yachty through the table after the challenge. Williams’ title opportunity then began immediately.

Baron Corbin (c) vs. Trick Williams (WWE Men’s United States Championship)

Williams opened with kicks and a clothesline that sent Corbin over the top rope. He followed outside to check on Yachty, but Corbin drove him face-first into the ringpost.

Corbin also threw Yachty over the timekeeper’s barricade. Williams recovered and launched himself at the champion before returning him to the ring, where he connected with a lariat and a flapjack.

With Atlanta chanting “Whoop that Trick!”, Williams delivered a Trick Slap, corner strikes and an Attitude Adjustment. Corbin regained control by catching him on the apron, snapping his neck across the ropes and sending him into the announce desk.

The champion twice drove Williams into the steel steps before returning to the ring. Corbin slowed the pace with elbow strikes and a half-nelson chinlock, cutting off one comeback with a lariat.

Williams eventually fought free, and both men were left down after a simultaneous attack. They exchanged punches from their knees before getting back to their feet, with Trick landing a jumping neckbreaker.

Corbin countered Cyclone Kill with a chokeslam for a near fall. Williams answered with Book End, but Corbin avoided Trick Shot and delivered Deep Six for another two-count.

After sending Williams shoulder-first into the ringpost, Corbin retrieved the championship belt. Yachty grabbed the other end, briefly stopping him from bringing it into the ring. Corbin won the tug-of-war but turned into Cyclone Kill, which nearly ended the match.

With the referee distracted while trying to remove Yachty from the ring, Corbin struck Williams with the belt. Trick kicked out, escaped another End of Days attempt by landing on his feet and rebounded off the ropes with Trick Shot.

Result: Trick Williams defeated Baron Corbin by pinfall with Trick Shot to become the new WWE Men’s United States Champion.

Williams and Yachty celebrated together on the announce desk as pyro went off.

Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi (“Future of the WWE” Match)

Paul Heyman introduced both wrestlers, presenting their meeting as a contest to determine WWE’s future.

The match opened with a prolonged staredown and a series of strength exchanges. Femi shoved Breakker into a corner, but Bron responded by pushing him away during their next lock-up. Both initially stood firm against shoulder blocks before Femi dropped Breakker with a lariat.

At ringside, Femi drove Breakker into the apron. Bron escaped another lifting attempt and sent Femi into the ringpost, but Oba stopped his next attack with a heavy chop.

Femi clotheslined Breakker outside and cleared the announce desk. Bron fought back by repeatedly driving Femi’s head into the desk, then launched himself from the apron with a diving lariat over it.

Back inside, Breakker maintained control with a running lariat, uppercuts and a double-knee gutbuster for a near fall. He applied a sleeper with body scissors, but Femi worked back to his feet and broke free with elbows. Bron answered with a German suplex.

Breakker repeatedly taunted Femi with “future of what”. Oba grabbed him by the throat, but Bron kicked his leg to escape and later reapplied the sleeper. Femi broke the hold by driving him into a corner.

The pair exchanged strikes before Breakker landed another German suplex. Femi immediately got up and responded with a lariat, following with further clotheslines, a big boot and three charging uppercuts. A chokeslam earned him a two-count.

Breakker escaped another lift by raking Femi’s eyes. Outside, Bron attempted a running attack around the ring, but Oba stopped him with a shoulder block.

Austin Theory interfered and was thrown into the announce desk. Breakker capitalised with a spear at ringside, then hit another inside the ring, but Femi kicked out.

Logan Paul arrived carrying brass knuckles, only for referee Eddie Orengo to intercept and eject him. On the opposite side of the ring, Maxxine Dupri handed Breakker another set of brass knuckles.

Femi ducked Bron’s loaded punch and delivered a tossing slam. Before he could follow up, Bronson Reed returned and struck him with a steel chair.

Result: Apparent disqualification victory for Oba Femi following Bronson Reed’s interference. The supplied coverage does not confirm an official decision.

Bronson Reed continued the attack on Oba Femi after the match, striking him with a chair before delivering a 747 Splash.

Reed then helped Bron Breakker to his feet and embraced him. The pair continued their assault, with Reed holding Femi in place for a spear from Breakker before landing two more 747 Splashes. Breakker followed with a second spear.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce rushed out alongside Bobby Roode, Jamie Noble and several referees, but their arrival could not prevent Reed from delivering a fourth 747 Splash.

After the commercial break, a replay showed the damage inflicted on Femi. Backstage, Paul Heyman was approached for an interview while watching the footage. He said he had plenty to say about the attack, but took a phone call and walked away before explaining further.

Attention then turned to the next match as Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley made their entrances, followed by Jade Cargill and her Baddies together.

Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, & Tatum Paxley vs. Jade Cargill & the Baddies (B-FAB & “Michin” Mia Yim)

Tatum Paxley and B-FAB started the match, with B-FAB pushing Paxley in the face before receiving a hard slap in return. Paxley followed with a front kick and somersault kick for an early near fall.

B-FAB responded with an elbow and tagged in Michin. Paxley fought off both opponents and landed an enzuigiri from the apron, but Jade Cargill tripped her and delivered a vicious knee. Michin kept the pressure on with falling elbows before Paxley eventually escaped the opposition’s corner and tagged Alexa Bliss.

Bliss picked up the pace with an arm wringer kick, an elbow, a knee lift and a basement dropkick to B-FAB. Natural Selection earned a two count, but the Baddies regained control and isolated Alexa with quick tags.

Charlotte Flair finally received the tag and cleared house with boots and chops, adding a German suplex to Michin before strutting across the ring. Flair followed with a handspring lariat and later brought Michin down from the top rope with a hurricanrana for another near fall.

A blind tag brought Cargill in, and she flattened Flair with a kick before hitting a spinning powerbomb from an Argentine backbreaker position. Paxley broke up the pin, only for B-FAB to take her to the floor. Cargill then attempted Jaded, but Charlotte countered into a victory roll.

Flair fought back with a combination of kicks and threw Michin into Cargill with a fallaway slam. A top rope moonsault onto both women nearly secured the victory, but Jade kicked out. Natural Selection brought another close count.

At ringside, B-FAB threw Bliss into the steel steps as Cargill caught Flair with a roll-up for two. Charlotte escaped a boot, landed a superkick and began setting up the Figure Eight, but B-FAB intervened. Paxley joined Flair in attempting simultaneous spinning toeholds, only for B-FAB to kick Tatum into Charlotte.

Cargill capitalised on the opening, hitting Jaded on Flair to secure the pinfall.

Winners: Jade Cargill and the Baddies by pinfall.

After the match, The Miz and Joe Tessitore discussed Bronson Reed’s return and previewed the remaining action, along with WWE’s upcoming shows in Mexico City.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

Cody started quickly when the bell finally rang, landing a Cody Cutter before applying a figure four leglock in the centre of the ring. Orton escaped to the apron and countered Cody’s attempt at a hanging DDT, retreating to ringside.

Orton slowed the pace once they returned inside, choking Cody against the ropes and targeting him with stomps. Rhodes fought back, escaped a back suplex and sent Randy outside with a clothesline, only for Orton to catch him with a thumb to the eye.

The pair traded punches before the fight returned to ringside, where Orton delivered two back suplexes onto the announce table. After briefly entering the ring to break the count, Randy confronted Cody’s wife and mother again. Brandi responded by throwing her drink in his face.

Rhodes rallied with punches, a powerslam and the Bionic Elbow, but another eye poke stopped his momentum. Orton followed with clotheslines, a powerslam of his own and a hanging DDT.

Cody blocked an RKO and connected with Cross Rhodes for a near fall. Several more counters followed, including a backslide that earned Rhodes another two count. Referee Charles Robinson was then caught between them in the corner, allowing Randy to hit an RKO with nobody available to count.

Orton lined up a Punt, but Cody sidestepped him and delivered another Cross Rhodes. Randy rolled outside, and Robinson was knocked down again in the ensuing chaos.

An increasingly aggressive Rhodes repeatedly drove Orton’s face into the ring post before punching him against the announce table and shouting, “show me your worst”.

Cody then struck Randy with the steel steps, leaving him bleeding from the face. Rhodes targeted the wound before taking Orton back inside, landing another Cody Cutter and following with two consecutive Cross Rhodes.

With Randy struggling on all fours, Cody prepared to deliver a Punt of his own. However, Orton collapsed and pleaded with him to stop. Randy grabbed Cody’s leg and begged for forgiveness, but Rhodes brushed him away.

Referee Eddie Orengo arrived to check on Orton and take over the match. As Cody gently moved him aside, Randy struck both men with low blows.

Orton immediately followed with an RKO. Robinson recovered just in time to count the pinfall, giving Randy the victory.

Winner: Randy Orton by pinfall following an RKO.
