War Raiders have thrown down the gauntlet ahead of Triplemanía 34, issuing an open challenge for their AAA World Tag Team Championship.

During the September 5 episode of Lucha Libre AAA on FOX, Ivar and Erik were interviewed backstage about their plans for the two-night event.

The champions confirmed they are ready to defend their titles against any team willing to step forward, with the open challenge now officially scheduled for night two in Mexico City on September 13.

Before Triplemanía, the War Raiders will defend the championship against Damian Priest and R-Truth on the September 11 episode of WWE SmackDown in Mexico City.

That show takes place on the same day as the opening night of Triplemanía 34 in Paradise, Nevada, leaving Ivar and Erik with the possibility of making two championship defences in just three days.

The updated Triplemanía 34 lineup is as follows:

Night One, September 11 in Paradise, Nevada:

• Rey Mysterio, accompanied by El Grande Americano, faces Omos, who will have Dominik Mysterio and Dorian Roldán in his corner. If Omos wins, his AAA suspension will be lifted. If Mysterio wins, Omos will be removed from AAA permanently.
• AAA World Trios Champions Psycho Circus, consisting of Dave the Clown, Murder Clown and Panic Clown, defend against Perros del Mal’s Daga, Berto and Angel, accompanied by Karmen Petrovic.
• Roxanne Perez, Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra meet in a fatal four-way match. The winner will challenge for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
• LWO’s Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde face Los Americanos, Tokyo Bad Boys and Fraxiom in a four-way elimination tag team match.
• AAA Latin American Champion La Parka defends against Laredo Kid and Mr. Iguana in a triple threat match.

Night Two, September 13 in Mexico City:

• AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio defends against El Grande Americano.
• AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer defends against La Catalina.
• AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix faces Mini Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer in a fatal four-way match.
• The Copa Bardahl match takes place.
• El Carnicero battles Psycho Clown in a street fight.
• AAA World Tag Team Champions the War Raiders defend their titles in an open challenge against opponents yet to be announced.
