CM Punk is adding another television role to his growing acting career.
According to PWInsider, the Undisputed WWE Champion has landed a part in ABC’s “R.J. Decker” and has been working on the series in Florida. Details about his character and the size of his role remain under wraps.
The show primarily films in Wilmington, North Carolina, with additional scenes shot in Orlando, Florida. Its second season is scheduled to premiere on ABC on Tuesday, September 15.
Scott Speedman stars as R.J. Decker, a former newspaper photographer who becomes a private investigator in South Florida after being released from prison.
The reported casting adds to a busy screen schedule for Punk. He recently appeared alongside Justin Long and Dermot Mulroney in the vampire action-horror film “Night Patrol.” He also co-stars in the romantic comedy “Guarding Stars,” which is set to arrive on Netflix on November 18.
With his character still a mystery, fans will have to wait to discover what Punk brings to “R.J. Decker.”
