Brie Bella has reached a welcome milestone in her recovery from a broken scapula, finally lifting her injured arm and bending it to around 90 degrees.
Sharing her progress on Instagram Stories, Brie celebrated with a little humour.
“Finally able to get my arm up. I think it’s time to shave my armpits.”
The improvement marks her biggest step forward since suffering multiple breaks in her scapula at SummerSlam.
“Big week for me! The most movement I’ve felt since the injury. Still have a long way to go but feels good to move my arm.”
Just weeks earlier, even taking her arm out of its sling was a struggle. Speaking on the August 20 episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie recalled those difficult early physical therapy sessions.
“Just like one, getting the arm out of the sling and just trying to move it around. I was like, holy…oh, sucks.”
Brie initially feared she would need emergency surgery, but a CT scan showed the injury could heal naturally. She has been following prescribed exercises to limit stiffness, with regular imaging to monitor her recovery.
Her estimated recovery time remains three to six months, and another CT scan is expected to check whether the bones are fusing properly. There is still work ahead, but Brie now has some encouraging progress to celebrate.
