Two major championship matches have been confirmed for WWE Raw when the red brand heads to Mexico City on September 14.

Roman Reigns now knows who will challenge him for the World Heavyweight Championship, with Penta earning the opportunity after defeating his own brother, Rey Fenix, in the final of a number one contender’s tournament on Monday night.

The brothers put their family ties aside and produced a gruelling back-and-forth encounter, with both men fighting for the chance to face Reigns.

In the closing stages, Penta managed to put Fenix away after connecting with the Mexican Destroyer to secure the pinfall victory.

Penta was given a huge celebration following the win, with pyro going off as he stood victorious inside the ring. However, the celebrations did not last long.

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns interrupted and made his way to the ring, coming face-to-face with his newly confirmed challenger. Reigns and Penta stared each other down as Raw went off the air, setting the stage for their championship showdown in Mexico City.

Elsewhere on Monday's show, Dragon Lee secured an opportunity to challenge Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship.

Lee and Gable were speaking when Ethan Page arrived and questioned why Gable was willing to give Lee a championship opportunity, arguing that Lee had done nothing to deserve the match.

The confrontation eventually led to Page facing Lee in singles competition.

During the match, Page sent Lee into an exposed turnbuckle and attempted to capitalise. However, Gable alerted the referee to what had happened, resulting in the official refusing to make the count.

The distraction proved costly for Page, with Lee recovering and hitting a standing Sliced Bread to pick up the victory.

It means Raw's trip to Mexico City will now feature two championship matches, including a huge opportunity for Penta to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in front of a passionate Mexican crowd.
