Once upon a time, three best friends became one of wrestling’s most beloved groups. Years later, their careers may have taken them down different paths, but the bond between Big E, Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed remains as strong as ever.

Kofi and Creed made their AEW debuts at All In on Sunday as New Level, while their longtime friend and former WWE partner Big E was understandably absent from the occasion.

However, Big E made it very clear that he was watching from afar and could not be happier for his brothers.

On Monday, Big E shared an emotional piece of artwork on Instagram featuring a sign that read: “Look how far you’ve come,” alongside a trail of footsteps.

“Take a second today to recognize your own progress,” Big E wrote. “You’ve made it farther than you think.”

Fans quickly connected the message with Kofi and Creed’s new chapter in AEW, and Big E was more than happy to talk about his former partners.

“If you’re two living legends that are undervalued, sometimes you have to go to London!”

He continued:

“I’m immensely happy for [the New Level]. Two of the best men to ever grace this industry.”

One fan suggested the moment might have been bittersweet for Big E, but the former WWE Champion made it clear there was nothing bitter about watching his friends succeed.

“I have been so immeasurably blessed. Last night was about those two men and their perseverance and dedication to their craft. Not a bittersweet moment. A truly sweet moment.”

And when another fan asked whether Big E would be following New Level’s AEW journey, there was only one possible answer.

“Those are my brothers! Absolutely!”

Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods formed The New Day in WWE in 2014, going on to become one of the most successful and popular groups of their generation.

Big E’s in-ring career was brought to an abrupt halt after he suffered a serious neck injury in 2022. He later moved into a commentary and media role, while Kingston and Woods continued competing together.

After departing WWE earlier this year, the pair have now started a completely new chapter.

Using the names Kofi and Austin Creed, New Level made their highly anticipated AEW debut at All In inside London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The pair joined forces with Swerve Strickland and immediately made an impact, winning the AEW Trios Championships in a Trios Roulette Royale.

Different companies, different journeys, but clearly the same friendship.

For Big E, watching two of his closest friends receive another opportunity to shine was not a sad reminder of what once was. It was simply a moment to celebrate how far they have all come.
