Vanity Project completed a huge night at NXT Heatwave as Jackson Drake defeated Myles Borne to become the new NXT North American Champion.

Borne entered Heatwave carrying plenty of gold, holding both the NXT North American Championship and one-half of the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside Tavion Heights. By the end of the event, however, Vanity Project had taken everything from him.

Earlier in the night, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes defeated Borne and Heights to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships, putting Vanity Project in control of their first championship of the evening.

Borne later returned to the ring for his North American Championship defence against Drake. With the threat of Vanity Project becoming involved, Heights accompanied his partner to ringside in an attempt to keep the numbers even.

Despite Heights being there, Vanity Project still managed to make its presence felt. The group used its numbers advantage to help Drake overcome Borne and secure the victory.

The result crowned Jackson Drake as the new NXT North American Champion and completed a remarkable championship sweep for Vanity Project.

Borne had started Heatwave holding two championships. By the end of the night, both were in the hands of Vanity Project, with Baylor and Smokes holding the NXT Tag Team Championships and Drake now carrying the North American Championship.
