Kelani Jordan Defeats Kendal Grey To Become New NXT Women’s Champion At Heatwave

Kelani Jordan has reached the top of the NXT women’s division after defeating Kendal Grey to capture the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE NXT Heatwave.

Jordan entered the championship match with an opportunity she had waited years to receive. Despite joining WWE in August 2022, Heatwave marked her first-ever challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Grey, meanwhile, arrived looking to make the second successful defence of the championship she had held for 63 days.

The closing moments proved decisive when Jordan sent Grey crashing into an exposed turnbuckle. With the champion vulnerable, Jordan quickly headed up and connected with her "One of a Kind" split-legged moonsault.

Jordan made the cover and secured the three-count, officially ending Grey’s reign and becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion.

The victory completes a four-year journey for Jordan. She signed with WWE in August 2022, and exactly four years later, in August 2026, she can now call herself NXT Women’s Champion.

Grey’s championship reign ends after 63 days, while Jordan leaves Heatwave with the biggest title victory of her WWE career so far.
