Christian Cage and Adam Copeland remain AEW Men’s World Tag Team Champions after defeating The Young Bucks at All In at Wembley Stadium.

The champions successfully defended their titles against Matt and Nick Jackson in a physical match that featured several dramatic nearfalls and plenty of controversy during the closing stages.

Christian and Matt started the contest before Copeland and Nick became involved, with both teams quickly turning to their trademark double-team offence.

The Young Bucks enjoyed an early spell of momentum, but the champions changed the direction of the match when Copeland delivered a jumping piledriver to Matt on the apron.

Copeland and Christian then isolated Matt and prevented him from reaching his brother. Matt eventually created an opening by avoiding a Spear, sending Copeland crashing into the ring post, before countering Christian's Killswitch with one of his own.

Nick finally received the tag and immediately increased the pace with a diving crossbody and several attacks on both champions.

However, Nick appeared to injure his leg during the match when it gave way as he attempted a springboard move, sending him crashing onto the mat. Despite clearly struggling, he continued competing and later connected with a 450 Splash from the top rope onto both champions.

The closing stages saw both teams come within moments of victory.

The Young Bucks connected with the BTE Trigger on Christian, but Copeland managed to break up the pin at the last possible moment. A second BTE Trigger followed, only for Christian to kick out himself.

Matt and Nick then attempted the Meltzer Driver, but Copeland intercepted the move with a Spear. Christian followed with the Killswitch before the champions hit an assisted Spear, but Matt somehow survived.

The finish came with controversy after Christian brought the championship belt and a wrench into the ring.

Referee Rick Knox removed the title belt, but Christian managed to conceal the wrench before loading it into his brace and attacking Nick's already injured leg.

Matt attempted to fight back and nearly stole the match with a roll-up, but further chaos involving the referee allowed Christian to strike Matt with the loaded brace.

Copeland immediately followed with a Spear, allowing Christian to cover Matt for the three-count.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated The Young Bucks by pinfall to retain the AEW Men’s World Tag Team Championships at All In.

The victory means Copeland and Christian leave Wembley still holding the gold, although the controversial finish will certainly give The Young Bucks plenty to complain about.

The action did not end with the final bell at All In, as several major teams made their intentions clear following the match.

The lights began to flicker inside Wembley Stadium before the Motor City Machine Guns made their arrival, immediately confronting AEW World Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.

The Motor City Machine Guns entered the ring and went face-to-face with the champions, appearing ready to lay down a challenge for the titles.

However, they were not alone.

FTR then made their return alongside Stokely Hathaway, who was back on his feet and walked with the team towards the ring.

Things became even more crowded when the Young Bucks recovered following their match, only for another team to make their presence felt.

The New Level arrived, making it clear that their ambitions may stretch beyond the AEW Trios Championship.

That left five major teams together inside the ring, with Copeland and Cage suddenly surrounded by potential challengers.

Rather than allowing the situation to explode, Copeland gave Cage a quick signal that it was time to leave, and the champions calmly exited the ring while their possible future opponents remained behind.

The remarkable scene appears to have opened the door to a very crowded AEW World Tag Team Championship picture following All In at Wembley Stadium.
