Kurt Angle Warns Fans Not To Believe Stories About Him Unless They Come Directly From Him

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has issued a strong message to wrestling fans about stories involving his name, warning that not everything said about him in interviews or documentaries should automatically be believed.

Angle shared the message through his Instagram Story, suggesting he feels his name has sometimes been used to help generate additional attention, ratings or viewers.

The Olympic gold medallist also made it clear that he does not believe this is something limited to the past, as he expects similar situations to happen again.

“There have been times, and there will be times both past, present, and future when my name has and will come up in interviews and documentaries to raise ratings or viewership.”
Angle did not mention any individuals, interviews or documentaries by name, so it remains unclear whether a particular recent story prompted him to make the statement.

However, the former WWE and TNA World Champion had a very simple message for fans when it comes to claims made about him by others.

“Unless it comes directly from me…. don’t believe it.”
Angle has been one of professional wrestling's most talked-about personalities throughout his career, with former colleagues regularly sharing stories about his time in WWE, TNA and elsewhere.
