Thekla is in London with the AEW roster ahead of All In, but whether she will appear at Wembley Stadium remains a mystery.

According to Fightful Select, the former AEW Women’s World Champion has travelled to London for Sunday’s huge event. However, there is currently no word on whether AEW has plans to use her on the show.

Thekla has not appeared on AEW television since losing the Women’s World Championship to Willow Nightingale at Redemption on July 26. Skye Blue attempted to interfere on Thekla’s behalf before Nightingale secured the victory with a backslide, ending Thekla’s 165-day reign.

Tony Khan was asked about Thekla during Thursday’s All In media call and had plenty of praise for the former champion.

“Thekla is a tremendous, tremendous wrestler.”

Khan described her as a great champion who remains at the forefront of his mind and encouraged fans to stay tuned, adding that he expects her to return very soon.

Her absence from All In was put down to the size of an already packed card rather than any lack of plans for her.

Thekla captured the championship from Kris Statlander in February and successfully defended it against Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa, Thunder Rosa and Starlight Kid before losing to Nightingale.

There had reportedly been an internal push for Thekla to be involved in the Women’s World Championship match at All In. Khan ultimately decided to go with Willow Nightingale defending against Mercedes Moné in a singles match.

That bout now comes with another major talking point, as Nightingale is dealing with a broken hand. Khan confirmed the injury forced AEW to change some plans, but Nightingale is still expected to wrestle and defend her championship on Sunday.

As for Thekla, simply being in London does not guarantee an appearance. AEW regularly brings additional talent to major stadium events, and no match or segment involving her has been announced.

Still, the combination of Thekla being in London and Khan publicly teasing that fans will see her again soon is certain to get people talking.
