The Rock has confirmed that another WWE return is in his plans, although The Final Boss is keeping fans guessing over exactly when it will happen.
The 54-year-old wrestling icon last competed for WWE at WrestleMania 40, teaming with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1.
Rock had originally appeared on course for a huge WrestleMania showdown with Reigns. However, Cody Rhodes' Royal Rumble victory changed those plans, leading Rock to embrace his villainous Final Boss character and align himself with The Bloodline.
He continued to make occasional WWE appearances after WrestleMania 40, including a major role at Elimination Chamber 2025, where he helped trigger John Cena's shocking heel turn.
Despite appearing to be positioned for the WrestleMania 41 storyline between Cena and Rhodes, Rock ultimately did not become involved in their championship match.
Now, Rock has made it clear that fans have not seen the last of him at WrestleMania.
During an appearance on The Morning Shift, one of the hosts told Rock that seeing one of his famous WrestleMania entrances live had always been a dream and asked him to give them a heads-up the next time he planned to make the walk.
Rock did not reveal when that might happen, but his response certainly sounded like another WrestleMania appearance is coming.
“I’ll make the promise to you now. Whenever I do go back to WrestleMania, man, I got to have you guys out. You’ll be my special guest for sure, 100%. 100%,” Rock said.
For now, there is no confirmed date, opponent or storyline for The Rock's WWE return. However, his choice of “whenever I do go back” will undoubtedly have fans wondering when The Final Boss could finally show up again.
