Ric Flair has revealed more about the health issue that prevented him from travelling to Las Vegas this week.

The two-time WWE Hall of Famer accepted the Cauliflower Alley Club’s prestigious “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award via video during the organisation’s 80th annual event.

During his acceptance appearance, Flair revealed that he currently has a blood clot in his leg, which meant he was unable to make the lengthy journey to Las Vegas.

“I have a blood clot in my leg so I can’t travel five or six-hour trips…”

Despite the concerning revelation, the 77-year-old Nature Boy later reassured those watching that he feels great.

The ceremony took place from August 24 through August 26 at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jerry Lawler handled Flair’s introduction, with Jimmy Hart joining him on stage for the presentation.

Steve Argintaru of TSN, who was in attendance, also shared photos of Flair appearing via video during the ceremony.

Ric Flair Receives Prestigious Career Honor

The “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award is considered the Cauliflower Alley Club’s highest honour and has been presented since 1992.

Named after club co-founder and wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor “Iron” Mike Mazurki, the award recognises individuals whose careers embody the spirit and traditions of professional wrestling.

The Cauliflower Alley Club was founded in 1965 and brings together current and former professional wrestlers and boxers. The nonprofit organisation also provides financial assistance to members of the wrestling community who are in need.

Flair has been open about his health struggles over the years.

In August 2017, he was hospitalised with organ failure and placed in a medically induced coma. Flair later revealed that doctors gave him only a 20 percent chance of survival. He underwent surgery and spent 31 days in hospital before eventually recovering.

Flair later returned to the ring in July 2022 for what was billed as his final match. At the age of 73, he teamed with Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in Nashville.
