The Rock has offered some words of encouragement to Zilla Fatu ahead of one of the biggest matches of his young WWE career.

After making his televised WWE debut two weeks ago, Fatu is now preparing for his first official match with the company, and he is immediately being thrown into the NXT Championship picture.

At NXT Heatwave on August 30, Tony D’Angelo will defend the NXT Championship in a Fatal Four-Way against Fatu, Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana.

Ahead of the event, WWE shared footage on Instagram showing Fatu preparing for Tuesday night's episode of NXT. The post caught the attention of The Rock, who delivered a short message to his family member.

“Time to eat fam,” The Rock wrote.

The Rock and Fatu are connected through both blood and the wider Anoa’i family, with Fatu previously making no secret of the influence The People's Champion has had on him.

In fact, Fatu recently revealed that his appearance on NXT was inspired by The Rock, adding another layer to the relationship between the two.
