Britt Baker has been absent from AEW television for close to two years, but the former Women’s World Champion has once again made it clear she would like to return.

Baker has not wrestled for AEW since November 2024, with the company never officially explaining why she has remained away for so long. AEW President Tony Khan has repeatedly indicated that he expects Baker to return at some stage, although no timetable has ever been announced.

Earlier this year, Baker suggested that the decision over her AEW comeback was not in her hands. Now, just days before AEW All In 2026 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 30, she has offered another interesting response.

After Baker shared a photo from the beach, one fan replied:

“Wish you would return at Wembley.”

Baker simply responded:

“Same.”

It is not the first time Baker has made her feelings known. On August 20, a fan told the AEW star that they missed seeing her, with Baker again replying:

“Same.”

Several days earlier, on August 14, another fan asked where she had been during her lengthy absence.

“At the beach,” Baker responded.

Baker’s time away from AEW has generated plenty of speculation. Earlier reports suggested there may have been issues surrounding her standing within the locker room, although those claims were later described by people within AEW as being exaggerated.

Khan also publicly spoke positively about Baker in February, describing her as someone who is “very highly regarded and respected here in AEW.”

With All In taking place at Wembley Stadium this weekend, speculation will naturally continue over whether Baker could make a surprise appearance. However, there has been no confirmation that she is scheduled for the show.

If Wembley comes and goes without Baker, September could provide two other interesting opportunities for her to resurface.

AEW Dynamite on September 9 will feature a special “Rebel Heart” edition dedicated to Rebel, real name Tanea Brooks, who is battling ALS.

Baker and Rebel became closely associated on AEW television during the company's earlier years and have remained good friends away from the ring. Baker has also supported Rebel following her ALS diagnosis.

Rebel is scheduled to appear during the September 9 Dynamite in Athens, Georgia, although Baker is currently not advertised for the event.

There is then another potentially significant date at the end of the month.
