The Young Bucks could be approaching the final chapter of their professional wrestling careers, according to Dave Meltzer.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer discussed the future of The Elite in AEW and suggested Matt and Nick Jackson may not have many years left in the ring.

While Meltzer expects “Hangman” Adam Page to continue wrestling for years to come, he said there is more uncertainty surrounding the rest of The Elite.

Meltzer revealed that Matt Jackson has previously considered stepping away and noted that The Young Bucks are financially secure after years at the top of the industry.

“Aside from Page, I’m not sure how much longer any of them are gonna go, because Matt considered stopping. Matt’s in his 40s, and they’re set. All of them, they’re all set for life. They’ve made a lot of money.”

More significantly, Meltzer said he has heard talk that the current contracts could potentially be the last signed by The Young Bucks.

“I’ve heard it discussed that this might be their last contract. You know, people always say that and then there’s so much money thrown at you afterwards to stay, so you always do.”

Meltzer stressed that nothing is certain, particularly with major money potentially on the table when their current deals expire.

“But, like I said, we’ll see what happens when the deal’s up. I mean, Adam Page will probably still wrestle for many more years.”

For now, there has been no announcement from The Young Bucks regarding retirement, meaning any suggestion that their current AEW deals will be their last remains speculation.
